Has Science Gone Too Far?

I was casually looking through the forums when i saw this...

when i saw the 1399 pages count i went “whAT THE heLL” mode and decided to do some mathS

each page has 20 replies on it, so do that times 1399 and you have roughly
27,980 replies. It was also while i was using the calcuator app on my phone i realized that there’s a reply counter in the pic i got and i facepalmed... i knew i had made useless calculations, so i took a step further and decided to make COMPLETELY USEFUL calculation.
i decided i’d find out how long it’d take to read each reply.

i copy and pasted every reply on the first page and got a total of 1000 words on each page, i would go down a couple since i also got people’s bio’s, names, date of the reply, etc. but i decided to keep it since the thread probably got longer replies as the D&D campaign went on.

let’s take an estimate and say it takes .5 seconds to read a single word,
do 1000 • .5 and you get 500 seconds for each page, or 8m.
now for the big boi
500 seconds for each page times 1399 equals 69[( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)]9,500 (699,500 for those who were confused by the lenny) seconds, or 11,658 MINUTES oR 194 HOURS OR 8 FLIPPING DAYS
also just for the sake of, like i previously mentioned, some pages being more full then other pages, especially the first page, i’d say we can round up to 10 days without to many precautions.

SO, in total it would take you 10 days to read every DND post on there... WO HO HO
better get some diet coke and start reading!
but hey... that’s just a theory...

Oh I did that, it took me about 2 months

 

I knew vaccinations were too good for this world, science became too effective so facebook moms arose

Also just think how much time that is in total. Those who wrote that whole thing must have spent so much time on that.

I once tried to read "void rift" and gave up 13 pages in, it was too confusing. Reading all of it would be torture
