Renaming Items

Simple question, I hope it is able to be answered. And not considered leaking or something.
In 1.18, if you craft an item, will you be able to Rename it? I ask this because "Basic Spear of Boringness" Seems pretty odd to be the default name for a non-specialized spear. Though it could make sense, I am asking to clarify if that is the actual names, but also, it would seem a bit weird and incredibly difficult to have default names for every combination possible for weapons without it sounding like
"Crackling Floating Life-Sucking Healthy Stave of the Earth Specialized Dark Wizard"
So, yeah.
Will crafted items be custom-ly nameable?

 

idk i really hope so i want a really long and boring name not something like burning fire spear
