Community Event Find Tier 3 And 4 Lootchests Within Light/dark Forest (4.7 Le Ea) [over]

I want you all to try and find a location of a tier 3 or tier 4 chest near Light Forest, Kander(dark) Forest, and slightly into the swamp maybe and write down the coodinates here.
Once we get 20 submissions I'll(or other people can if they want) try do it all within 25 minutes and I'll give out the LE once I receive it

To submit a chest, I want you to take a photo with the chest (be sure we can see the white particles) and write down the coordinates in a post below (or you can pm me on discord).
If the chest is in a cave, pls provide coordinates to the cave entrance
I'm going to try and record all the coordinates of the chests currently found to stop people from posting the same chest twice

You can post as many chests as you'd like, I'll only give LE for those who answered first and was close enough to be included in the lootrun. I'm going to try and prioritize people who has answered first

disclaimer: if a chest is too far, i might not use it and you might not receive any LE for it, sorry

(btw 1 stack 30 le is 385,024 emeralds and that divided by 20 is 19,251.2 emeralds. Divide that by 64 twice and you get 4.7 LE)

Why publish the location of lootchests to the forums, and thereby decreasing their potential of having good loot because they get looted all the time? Giving out loot chest locations is like giving out something very strong and important, but making it less good by posting it itself. Just saying

 

Because the alternative would be selfishly keeping them a secret so only you can get rich, instead of giving everybody a bigger chance to get better items and increasing the amount of places where people can lootrun, thereby increasing the chance that runs are more succesful as people don't take the same two routes all the time?

 

basically what you’re saying is, “why help the community?” And to that question there are many answers, one of them being that helping any community or anyone with anything makes you a better person. Or maybe your goal isn’t enjoyment for yourself or others, maybe it’s just straight up gaining virtual, useless money

 

I think I explained how the benefit shrinks for everyone who knows it, didn't i? And what do 10 people gain from finding a bunch of unique and rare items in a chest that is constantly looted, instead of people going out and looking for those chest getting the benefits. I'm all for helping the community, but wealth is not directly helping anyone. If everyone has a mythic the experience hasn't improved in any way for any player, but I would even go as far as saying it would be less fun for devoted players that grinded very hard to find their mythics. The feeling of success increases by tenfold if you are working harder to reach your goals, and making it easy just spoils the experience. Just like publishing chest locations spoils the experience of going out and trying to find them yourself or lootrunning them. This is something that seems logical and reasonable to me, but maybe you're right, and giving everyone wealth as easy as possible or just starightup giving everyone free stuff is the way to go to enhance the wynncraft experience. Sorry for the wall of text, but many people are very quick in making assumptions as of what my reasoning for my position on this topic is without letting me explain.

1. Lootchests and their location are no secret for you anymore if you go looking for them and find them yourself.
2. There are more lootrunners in Wynn than there are active/good worlds to loot, and it will always be that way with if we keep the worlds at the current size. For an example of this take a look at a corkus lootruns at any given time on any world that is up for over an hour. And even if you'd be right, there's supposed to be a balance in the amount of items/good items that are found regularly and the time people invest in getting those. If we just destroyed that balance and where to perfect looting we would not have any value in good items anymore. You can right now already see how we need a better balance, because it has become too easy to find mythics. Some people have all of them and there is no point of playing for them anymore. I didn't post anything here for personal gain, and I hope people can see that.

 

i see what you're getting at now but i disagree. i have a lot more fun sharing chests to others and going to the locations of other people's chests than finding my own tbh, but it might just be me. if i just keep everything to myself i get bored really fast

 

Can't really argue with this and tell you not to have fun in a game, but I guess at this point we can agree to not agreeing without hard feelings. The problem is that I can't censor any information here, and I also don't want to, so there's no way I will be getting my way here, but I just wanted to share my opinion. Mission accomplished I guess :)
