there is an active forum with or without effortless posts. You could do the same poll but maybe with a more meaningful message?

But there is no message .. i'm just interested in what's peoples favorite village.. and maybe why .. that's all ..

 

But you could have done it with more effort. You could have asked people a much deeper question, like "What is your village and what about it do you like the most?" and then given an answer of your own. You could have also improved the poll by not having one of the answers be "that village in the ravine". This is also ignoring the countless posts exactly the same as your own a few months ago that would have answered the question of what are peoples favourite cities, all of which you could have accessed through the search function. This adds to the fact that one of the forum's rules is "No Useless content allowed", which basically includes this post due to how many times it has been repeated with much more effort. Seriously, why are there so many useless ass poll threads these days?

 

• New people could’ve joined the forums in a few months.
• Peoples opinions can change in that time.
• Cities aren’t towns.

 

1) that’s ok, doesn’t prevent them from making quality content 2) that’s also ok, we can survey within a more elaborate poll and message 3) pretty sure he meant towns

 

Yeah, I know the thread could’ve been better, but I was talking about that part of his argument where if a thread was made in the past, there’s no need for another to be made, which is untrue especially with opinion threads.

I don't understand why there's always so much hate towards poll threads, like come on at least it's something. Using the search function is boring anyways, it's only useful for builds and unique threads.

They're usually a low effort attempt at some attention. Nobody seems to care about the answers, not even the maker of the thread.

Not at all. If you’re not active on the forums or you’re just unsure, always use the search bar. There’s nothing more annoying than seeing the same low effort posts that are posted within a week of each other. That’s why everyone hated housing because people would post multiple, 1-sentence housing threads within a month.

The entire forums doesn’t just change their opinion about something like towns within a week, especially when the newest thread has almost nothing new to bring to the discussion. It’s like having a friend asking you the same thing over and over again.

Using the search bar literally takes as much effort as Googling something and checking the first page. That’s it. And it’s not just for build threads; it’s just to check that you don’t repeat the same thread that was done recently. Again, imagine if one of your friends kept asking you the same thing over and over again, or only wanted to talk about the same thing repeatedly. It gets boring at best, and annoying at worst. Especially when the newest posts are worse than the previous ones.

I’d rather have less, but more interesting and thoughtful threads than a million 1-sentence poll threads and shitposts.

 

Brb going to go make a thread titled "Is FF Cool?" and just say "Guys it's epic".

Oh jesus .. ok i understand that this post is kinda useless and efortless.. I just like these classic poll posts and i wanted to create one .. It's not meant to be a meaningful post or something.. it's just for fun when you're scrolling through the forum .. Sorry for posting it i guess .. btw. English isn't my mother toungue so pardon my mistakes ..

 

Well yeah, if it’s a few weeks between I understand, but the guy did say months, so that’s what I used to base my time. Haven’t been too active in previous weeks so I haven’t seen any threads before the last few days.
