After a decade of watching youtube and subscribing to around 400 fully deserving people, I gotta say that my favorite still has to be Jameskii. An innocent, genuine and honest person that not only uploads really high quality content, but also manages to actively interact with his community despite it's size.

Funny, makes content multiple times a week, makes it entertaining, no facecam obstructing the gameplay, NO CLICKBAIT (in fact mocked clickbait recently), has a lot of fun schenanigens stuff, switches the content a lot, absolute genius when it comes to programming, redstone and that kinds of stuff
Overall a good channel.

(A close second is Rank10yugioh/rata, though a lot more "dry humor" and "fun schenanigens" than "pure genius." Third would be Yrimir, if only that legend still uploaded)

Cinemassacre is definitely one of the most iconic channels on youtube and has achieved a legendary status.

 

I don't really have a favorite overall, but I'd say 8-bitryan/8-bitgaming, people with content like Pyro/Memeulous, and channels like Dead Meat (Kill Count) and Screenrant are all pretty high up there. Cinemasins would also be high up there, but I've lost interest the more I watch it.

It’s really hard to say, I watch a variety of YouTube channels so it’s kind difficult to compare a channel such as video game dunkey with one like CGP Grey.

If you want to watch movie reviewers, I recommend I Hate Everything, Your Movie Sucks, Ralp the Movie Maker, and Red Letter Media. If I had to pick, I would say IHE and YMS are my favorite. Though they aren’t as active as they were b4, especially IHE. I haven’t watched much of IME except for Mr. Plinkett’s reviews.

If you want to watch video game review channels, then Dunkey and Zero Punctuation are probably the best ones out there. Dunkey is just all round funny and very enjoyable, while ZP is usually more cynical, covers more and less well known games, more profane, speaks fast, and has an art style akin to GradeAUnderA. Oh yeah and he’s British too.

If you want to watch something informative, yet interesting and entertaining, then I recommend Extra Credits (mostly Extra History), CGP Grey, Lemmino, In a Nutshell, TierZoo, Scishow, and Crash Course. Extra Credits was mainly an educational, nerdy channel about video game development, genres, current events, and trends, but then branched off into animated history. Unlike most history channels, the narration is pretty good and lively and they cover a lot of lesser known periods such as Japan’s 100 year medieval civil war. It’s also pretty easy to follow, and they have humor sprinkled throughout each episode.

Lemmino has done some great documentaries and has a smooth voice that’s very nice to listen to. He was known for doing Top 10 lists, but lately he’s just been doing random topics. CGP Grey also just does random, but interesting topics, and uses stick figures. His videos about different voting systems sets him apart, and I HIGHLY recommend you check them out. In a Nutshell is a german channel who is most like CGP Grey except they have actual animation that’s well done and they upload regularly every month. Whereas CGP Grey and Lemmino have a more erratic and longer schedule.

TierZoo is one of my favorite new channels. He combines video game terminology with biology and ecology, which is very entertaining and funny.

Scishow and Crash Course used to be big when I watched them, but nowadays I barely watch them. Crash Course is ok, but in their History series they tended to talk too fast and gloss over a lot of things. Their humor is ok. Any topic you can think of, from computer science to mythology to chemistry, they’ve done it. Scishow is more news like and just focuses on current events and principles in science.

Some honorable mentions:
GradeAUnderA- A dead channel that is very entertaining and lots of humor. Covered more profane topics than the others listed above.
Geography Now- Great educational series that covers the geography and history of every country. It’s still ongoing, and the host is funny and enjoyable. Plus they update constantly.
JonTron- A classic YouTube channel that sadly isn’t that active anymore. He mostly does skits and retro game reviews. You may have known him from the Flex Seal memes.

I don't really have any favourites, so I'll just list a couple that I'm subscribed to:
I started watching Pyrocynical back when the 'small loan of a million dollars' meme was popular, and immediately subscribed. It's now a couple years later and he has only improved.

Tipsy Duck is also a fantastic channel. I don't know how he does it but every video of his puts a smile on my face. If you just want to have a good time and escape the troubles of real life, go watch his videos.

UpIsNotJump hasn't been making his 'X Is An Absolute Nightmare' videos for very long, but they're very enjoyable. Fast paced humor, and somehow his videos are still often over 10 minutes long.

 

Minecraft related Youtuber? Captainsparklez. I still watch him since I first heard of 'Revenge' and 'TNT' in my facebook feed. I remember watching his 'Revenge Of The Gods' map play-through along with my brother and cousin, we keep thinking about how we could play this map.

Others? Diamondbolt, Internet Historian, Jason Sanders. Etc.

Here’s mine:

TheOdd1sOut: This guy is pretty popular, but in case you don’t know who he is, he basically tells stories about his life using “animation”

ABrandonToThePast: Brandon is inactive right now (and he is inactive a lot) but when he feels like uploading, his videos are really funny. He makes videos about Nintendo games, with Pokemon being the main focus of his channel.

Man on the Internet: This channel is a weird one where the only thing I really watch from it is their Undertale the Musical series, both the main pacifist musical and their genocide package. Basically, the musicals tell the story of Undertale by adding lyrics to Undertale songs. If you like Undertale and/or its OST, I highly recommend watching both musicals. Nowadays, they do content based around other popular games like Bendy and the Ink Machine, Doki Doki Literature Club, and Cuphead

Random Encounters: Another musical channel, this channel’s content is based around original songs about video games. They have a lot of good songs, and my favorites are Just Monika, The Eevee Song, and Cuphead the Musical.


CinemaSins, Game Theory, and I Hate Everything are honorable mentions for me. I liked Game Theory back then when he used math and science. My favorite videos from him are his Hookshot and Rosalina videos. Although nowadays I feel like all he does is wild rambling. CinemaSins is funny sometimes, but a lot of the time they do movies I’m not interested in. IHE is probably the channel I like the most out of these three. Whenever he makes a video on something popular (like his Pokemon video) he puts his opinion as nicely as possible, and makes points that I actully agree with, and when he truly hates something, it’s something that’s objectively bad (like the emoji movie and minions). I don’t think I’ve ever been offended while watching his videos, and this is coming from someone who is easily offended.
