Out Of The Loop, Have Some Questions

okay so I quit a while, i think it was some time before ??? was revamped.

I read the returning players thread and searched up some threads but I still have some remaining questions.

Ive heard the ??? Gives the 2nd best xp armor so what would the first be? Is my bad wolf/ speaker / honor greaves / papyrus and jester set still relevant?

Is molten heights still the place to grind for lvls 90+?

(Im archer class with freedom, lvl93)

Is it smart to still use all of morph set except for helm, or is it better to opt for other legendaries before lvl 100?

Is it still possible to solo qira? i got stomped w bobs bow rip

how much do unider (should i id) high level legendaries cost? I plan to sell them for half price

Also is it confirmed that xp bonuses do not affect quests?

- Freezing Heights is still a good place to grind at your level, but occasionally you'll find CSST parties on the server. CSST stands for Corrupted Sand-Swept Tomb, a high-level dungeon that groups enter at no cost due to special dungeons bombs people buy with IRL money. At level 96+ I'd recommend switching over to the sky islands.

- Morph Set can still be good while leveling up, but maybe switch out a piece for something else if you want more damage or something.

- You are allowed to sell unidentified legendaries, as long as you do not sell them under the impression that they will be a specific item when identified. Personally I'd recommend Identifying them myself and maybe making a shop. I'm not a market master and I don't know much about prices, but the price check thread should help.

- Qira can be soloed, but Bob's Mythic Bow may be a bit slow, I'm not sure. Qira's Elemental Defense was nerfed and she's easier now, but maybe wait to see if you can specialize in a certain element, which may lead to better damage.

If you have a good enough bad wolf 3 cosmic with bad wolf is the highest xp bonus, beating full cosmic by a mere 2% xp bonus https://wynndata.tk/s/7hG2ZH, so the one fish put is third best probably.

Yes, quest do not get affected by any xp bonus. However, the amount of xp you get from ToA/Hive scales depending on your level. For example, if you do ToA at level 40, you will barely get any xp, where as you will get the full amount around 75+. Same applies to Hive except around 95+ you'll get the full amount. For every other quest besides those two, you will get the amount of xp normally regardless of level.

Mana regen is still pretty meta to me, but melee meta died when they reworked cancer, which is now named necrosis due to the controversy surrounding the name (with a different helmet named cancer to represent the zodiac).

 

XP Bonus does indeed not affect quests. I believe this was changed sometime around Gavelish when quests were given more xp rewards so waiting for a dxp wasn't necessary anymore and thus they removed the ability for dxp to affect quests.

Also, just adding on the @WithTheFish, for the weapon use Sage for Mage and the Wybel weapons for the other classes, as Sage maxes at 42% xp bonus and Wybel at 39% xp

Spell Spam/ Mana Regen is still used, but stacking +tiers not so much.

 

The second-best XP set is definitely relevant, since Cosmic Set has a range of IDs and the new ??? is rather difficult to do (requires 4 people). A good non-Cosmic XP set can certainly be better, although I rerolled my Cosmic pieces once if they weren't good on the first roll so there is that.

I'm fairly certain many unid'ed legendaries can be definitively identified.

XP bonus no longer affects quests as of the Gameplay Update, the same time ??? was reworked (likewise with DXP bombs and such). Corrupted Sand-Swept Tomb parties (dungeon bomb + DXP bomb + ~3 minute runs in large groups) is the new XP meta for high levels. Note - Jester Set got nerfed heavily, they're next-to useless for XP/loot bonus.

Attack tier stacking is weaker than it used to be, but still one of the predominant melee strategies (see: Apocalypse and Alkatraz).

Qira's current elemental defenses are 300 all, rather than (if I remember correctly) 1350 all. She now has 3 forms, and more health (~200-250k per form) to make up for the defense decrease, although most people consider her easier now. Qira solo is definitely possible.

The best grinding spots are Freezing Heights, Demon Cave (relatively recent addition iirc, located south of Rodoroc next to the closed gate), and various Dragonling areas.

I would recommend rerolling legendaries rather than selling them UnIDed. Others may have different opinions, but rerolling is more common because people tend to prefer buying items with known stats, particularly for builds with stringent requirements.

Morph set has been nerfed twice, but is still pretty good. It's a viable pre-endgame option.

 

I see, would morph set still be strong endgame? Or is it worth the effort to use legendaries like class build threads nowaways show

 

The full Morph Set is still used, but I don't think the helmet alone is good since it and Libra got nerfed recently.

Most people wouldn't say so, but @Shots would disagree. The nerfs have definitely made it weaker than it used to be.
