What Are Your Predictions Of The New Update?

The announcement for the announcement of the update was yesterday, because the update is coming out tomorrow I think it would be cool that we summarized all our theories and see which ones turn up!

i just saw a old gavel Q&A vid again from grian he was talking about gavel and there was a question about a new class he said no not in this update but we will reales new classes in the near future or something more like they are working on it i think can't remember but than i thought hmm its ao much hype and every ct is saying its getting wild so many a new class xD. prob not tho

I made that question, though I wasn’t the first one.

Anyway, no, probably not a new class. Too much work for the item team (hundreds of items, balancing them, and all other update items on top), no class to make (bards? Why would Fruma send military aid IN THE FORM OF PEOPLE WHO CAN PLAY A BANJO?), and the teasers are all about food, so I guess we will get cooking & fishing & foodstuffs.
We’ll see tomorrow, though.

 

yea true not only that but the story line is all based on the 4 classes we have now and we don't really need more classes
i don't even want them to work on a new class cuz it won't add that much to the game

Since Salted has previously mentioned that Wynn is inspired by Runescape, I’m betting on professions. We’ve already seen several possibilities from the teasers: fishing in the first post, farming/foraging in berries, a glimpse of smithing and crafting in one of the houses in the Detlas rework, mining in the gems, and possibly cooking with rotten flesh as an ingredient. All of these skills were present in Runescape.

This would also explain Jpresent’s description of adding thousands of hours to Wynn’s gameplay. Skills in old school Runescape serve as one of the primary mechanics that has allowed the game to stay relevant for a decade and continue with a strong player base today. These skills could be combined to make different actions and leveled over time through experience to change gameplay. I guess I’ll see if my predictions are correct come Saturday! But this seems like the most logical assumption from what we've been shown thus far.

 

SPECULATION:
Professions
- New Class/Races - CT said this update would "definitely be better if a new class was started"
- Some sort of food system
- New item system including new stats (knockback will be one of them)

CONFIRMED:
Knockback Being added back (confirmed by jp himself)

"The Update may look kind of underwhelming at first, however once you play it youll experience a lot more depth" - CT member

 

I actually made this thread because when I saw your post I thought that a lot of players probably have good theories like these

 

If they add a Knockback item stat Alka is probably going to be 10 blocks lol.

we wil get some reworks and a new kind of rotten flesh we can eat and than die so they can delete /kill
