Are Warrior Spells That Bad?

a handful of people say that it's better to melee with warrior than use spells, but is that really the case?

 

Depends on your build. If you’re purely melee focussed then yea your spells are gonna be bad, but hybrid or spell warrior has great spells. Bash can be spammed, charge has great control and war scream does insane dps if aimed properly.

 

Warrior probably has the most/second most effective stunlock out of all the classes due to it's spells kb, despite it not having a blind spell. Against anti-kb mobs it's a little bit more tricky to do that, but using warscream/bash and then uppercut when they get to close is usually pretty effective. However, charge imo is the worst movement spell for combat. While it does have decent crowd control like Stag said, mage's tp has blind and will usually hit things if you're using it to get away from a swarm leaving them vulnerable, leap just launches you 5 miles into the air making you relatively unable to be hit outside of ranged mobs and can blind any enemies that happen to be near you when you land as well as giving you speed 3, and vanish, while not doing damage, is probably the best getaway and/or set up spell in combat since it literally makes the mobs stop following you (such as getting stuck in a boss's web spell you can just vanish or use vanish to get up close to an enemy and immediately blind them with spin attack) and giving you temporary speed 3 as well (if you're low on mana then vanish becomes a lot harder to use effectively though).

tl;dr basically they're fine as they are but charge imo is the worst movement spell in combat

 

Warscream is pretty effective against negative knockback enemies as well, since you can draw them in easily. The biggest problem I've had with warrior was the lack of a good way to keep enemies away from me (which Arrow Shield and Vanish do really well, and Ice snake manages to a lesser extent) since Warscream has a relatively small angular range.

 

warrior spells arent bad, the melee is just alot better because you can just spam your left mouse button while being almost invencible with both your defense and life steal

Just wondering, I have around a 7k DPS melee warrior. If u have a build, can u tell me how much DPS u get?

 

the build i used had about 5k-6k dps
