The Internet Is Toxic

I feel like teens are using discord and the internet as a whole to vent but instead are creating a toxic depressed circle jerk that isn't helping anyone and promotes mental illness instead of dealing with reality in a healthy way.
There are still good parts to the internet but they are being submerged in the toxic circle jerk.
In short I don't recommend anyone to stay in internet communities at all unless you are sure they aren't actively toxic.

 

Honestly just depends on what you’re using the internet for and what part you’re on.

There are a lot of things here that shouldn’t have been discussed here :-/

 

Online people normalise depression so much that when something actually depressing happens they can’t handle it.

 

I mean you can also be satisfied if you dwell in the toxicity of certain communities. I have a few toxic MC servers I go on just to be toxic, then after I can go on Wynn and act civilized.

Seriously though. It does depend on what part of the internet you use. Some parts are toxic hellholes. Others are angelic places.

 

But overall the good communities are also becoming toxic

 

That’s not necessarily true, still a lot of strong good communities (look at Wynn for example)
