Powders Not Updating Stats In Gui?

    So I had a -50 earth defense so I put some earth powders on my armor to counter it. However, when I scroll over the chestplate in the compass to see the stats, it still has the -50 there. I'm wearing the item so it should update right?

    As far as I know, it doesn't update after applying powders.
