Did you not read all the way through? I didn’t fully understand the whole attack speed thing but as I said, why not just use a proxima with drain? It has almost as much damage spread out over all the elements to avoid elemental defenses and synergies with rainbow damage buffs. The only time it is bad is when you just happen to be fighting Qira, and why go to the waste of getting an Apoc to kill qira when My rag tag spell warrior build can beat it without using a potion. I understand that Apoc is good and if you get one good for you but other things can have a similar effect without breaking your bank.

Guardian on the other hand has stats unmatched by any other item even in conjunction with accessories. It also isn’t useless thanks to spells existing and guardian not destroying spell damage. Spells grant not only a great source of damage but multiple kinds of damage to get around elemental defenses. This makes Guardian worth more to me than Apoc.

To be fair I wouldn’t want either, I’m looking for a thrundacrack so I can blast things with 28k uppercuts for 3 mana while having a 14/4 mana steal :P

 

Preface: yes, proxima is amazing, just apoc is better. yes, guardian is good, but apoc is subjectively better (although hard comparison to make)

First off, essentially no actual enemies should be able to resist Courage + Apoc (you still do like 3k per hit even against Phase 5 Cybel).

Second off, Apoc reaches ~10k dps and still is invincible in any competent user's hands versus enemies (not players), whereas Proxima only hits 7k ish in a stable build with lifesteal rivaling Apocalypse as far as I know (feel free to prove me wrong).

Third, you say Apoc breaks your bank while barely being any better than Guardian - the same applies to Guardian if you think in these terms. Yes, Apoc isn't THAT much better than Proxima, but Guardian isn't THAT much better than Hive Spear either. If there's barely any point in getting Apoc over Proxima/Ignition, then there's even less of a point in getting Guardian over Hive Spear too.

Fourth (similar to #3), Guardian is somewhat closely matched with Hive Spear. You get essentially the same damage Guardian and you'll still be incredibly tanky.

Fifth, Apoc should do more dps than Guardian if I remember correctly due to both mana usage, time taken to melee for Courage, and time between Uppercuts etc.

I 100% agree, plus you mentioned that he said apoc breaks his bank but apoc is cheaper than guardian lmao, apoc goes for 3-6 while guardian goes for 4-6, guardian should be cheaper as despite being tanky with warscream, which apoc can also do it is not like it has heal, its basically a Monster but for Warriors but with an Apoc you sorta have heal with lifesteal without costing you mana so in practically every way Apocs are better than Guardians, not much of a damage difference, had an Apoc user carry me in LI, only thing he asked me to do is ice snake, same guy also had a guardian and we tried again, failed on cybel, note that this is with no heal pots, i did not really use heal at all, but his HP regen just could not keep up with everything, so thats the real basis of my judgement apart from the obvious fact, buy me an apoc thanks <3

 

Uh as long as the Strength is 10 it does not matter as just holding Alka means you have 120 Strength so with 10 more you have max, unless its 9 it does not matter in the slightest, and earth defense and -agil does matter, if you are using a breezhands you need a certain agil to use it so that plays a big part in your total DPS, my build is Centipede, CoI, Physalis, Accelerator, Breezhands, Rainbow, Diamond fiber bracelet, Diamond Fiber Necklace, if the - agil was really bad it might not have worked or been as good.

I never said you didn’t need to break the bank to get a Guardian, I said there are other options that don’t break the bank for a super slow attack speed slap stick. I would also like you to tell me where to find 700 health regeneration on a hive spear. Saying that you could replace Guardian with Hive Spear would be like me saying you could replace Apoc with Hammer of the Forge. Yah hive spear is good, and it shares a bubble with Guardian by having elemental defenses, but that doesn’t make it a replacement.

 

Why would you need any mythic when you can have S O D E T A B O O T S ?

 

I think something is missing from your understanding here, as hpr does not proc when you get hit, which means it does not activate during a fight

This makes it basically useless when you're actually fighting mobs
