    [An Alternate History]

Hello Everybody! I'm back with a proper thread once more, well, not really, I kinda just wrote this in like half an hour and didn't revise at all. So enjoy some new ideas, and shitty writing!

Placed in spoiler boxes for the convenience of wall-of-text haters! (Aka, literally everyone.)

P.S. Read in order, It won't make sense otherwise!

Hundreds of thousands of years ago--the God Nakal gave birth to two entities, Lightness, and Darkness. Born into the realm of emptiness, Light and Dark took upon themselves to separate from Nakal’s dim realm of half-truths. Light traveled the blank abyss till’ she tired, using her many strengths she created her own realm. Full of dazed fantasies, this realm was the first to carry conscious life. Simple-minded creatures designed as perfect vessels for the energy of light to flow in and out of without physical or mental cost. This realm grew to a small size where it peaked at its max capacity with impassable walls. After her work was complete, light transformed her physical body into the heart and center of the realm of light. Her conscious beings had quickened evolution due to the mysterious powers surrounding the realm where they lived in peace and harmony for thousands of years to come.

While Light took one direction, Dark took the direct opposite. Not traveling as far as Light, Dark had much energy to spare, with it--he created the overgrown realm of darkness, covered in black, this realm was also a birthplace of conscious life. Unlike Light’s creatures, darkness was able to create beings able to wield tremendous power, yet only with the partial metaphysical loss of their being. After many a thousand years, darkness’s beings developed the philosophy that if they overthrow Darkness, they will have freedom to shape the world of their own choice. It only took one attack on the weak, unsuspecting Darkness’s physical body to perish, leaving his spirit to attract towards Light’s. Once there, light and dark decided that they needed each other to be happy, as with pure light, or pure darkness, nothing can be a successful outcome.

After believing that her only two children, Light and Dark, had perished. Nakal descended into despair, leaving a rough multitude of terrains in her wake, she came across a patch still empty, that is where she eliminated her physical form. Traveling as a spirit, Nakal was eventually forgotten by all. Yet her physical form had a last say in the matter, using the sadness and rage built up inside of Nakal, her physical form became a simple, but powerful hive-mind type entity that was to go on and be named, “The Corruption.”

After the parting of all three supreme beings, the conscious life of the realm of light stayed as it was, unaffected, and unknown. While the conscious life of the realm darkness, tunneled through their realms bordering mountains. It took nearly one thousand years to break through the mountains, as their material was unlike any ever encountered before. After breaking through, they discovered a richly covered land of lakes, forests, and grasslands. Over the thousand years spent mining the dark beings had mounted their own leaders, all of which whose names have been lost to time itself. One claimed a vast jungle to practice the ancient arts of channeling darkness. While another claimed a vast grasslands, hell-bent on having the richest and most advanced society, the kingdom of grass quickly became the kingdom of sand, having killed off most, if not all life in the grasslands. The third tribe claimed somewhat west, learning (partially) the secrets to time itself, they devoted their entire culture to it. While a fourth tribe journeyed far west, tunneling through more mountains and after breaking through, a mudslide (which they didn't both to break past) fell, secluding them from the rest of the new world, but to them that was fine, that tribe didn't want help from anyone else. The final tribe just mentioned called themselves Frumian's, and they eventually forgot their entire history.

The final tribe to cross into the new world sealed the tunnel to the dark realm and discarded it as a bad part of history best left forgotten. They used the small amount of dark power they had left to cross a large body of water. As a price, the waters were to become uncrossable until the last of the tribe’s leaders bloodline died out. As a result of this curse, the tribe that crossed was left alone. Across this body of water somewhere was a weak point between the realm of light, the mystical energy of the realm of light affected the tribe that came and evolved their species into many different types of creatures, some became semi-perfect magic channeling beings, others became short and well-built, while still more became a secluded race of pure equality. Some even came across the weak point in the fabric of reality, transforming them into nearly immortal creatures named “Dragons.” Over hundreds of years they evolved and each race became almost completely unrecognizable from each other. What was to be considered the strongest race was the “Villagers.” Their brains evolved to function at nearly twice the speed of any normal creature and had the capacity to store not just knowledge but also magic. The price of this was an unrelenting greed forged in every mind of the Villagers. They waged war with every being on their secluded continent, made peace with each other, and settled. Throughout their peace they preserved the natural forests and made great monuments to their successes. Some of the more noted scientists at the time managed to actually open the gate to the realm of light and though they could not manage to enter, they managed to communicate.

The greed of the Villagers led to eventual closing of this magical gateway and the destruction of their history, which was not well documented in the first place. The previously mentioned beings, Dark and Light, had made peace with one another and lived happily in between realities. Because of this bond, the realm of darkness longed to live again and dragged itself through the world to eventually make it to the realm of light and be in balance. Unfortunately for the semi-balanced world between the realms of light and darkness. The result of the darkness reaching out to the light was that it spread death in its wake. Being more powerful than the light, the darkness unintentionally blighted the land. In present day the darkness continues its journey to the light to one day fully meet it. From being not very far away from the rift between realms, the darkness has partially entered the realm of light without realizing, and killing almost half the land. Its ultimate goal of being in perfect balance can only end in the destruction of the light, and death to fall across the world.

While the darkness journeyed across the continent the original tribe dubbed as, “Gavel.” The Olm, (as they had grown to call themselves) were having issues of their own in the land they had named Wynn, first a sandstorm, unlike any seen before, came down from the heavens. After wreaking havoc upon the dwellers of the sand city, a large crystal was thrown from the storm and landed through the roof of a tobacco shed. With no clue of where it came from, scientists from each tribe (except the Frumians, a large avalanche had blocked their entrance into Wynn and never bothered to enter back as they were doing “fine” on their own. Eventually they, too, forgot that the land of Wynn existed) took a sample of the rich, honey coloured crystal. After nothing resulted from the tests, the crystal was taken to be displayed as a natural wonder.

Before fifty years had passed, a second crystal, the colour of the sun, blazed a trail across the sky landed in a relatively small mineshaft and killing three. Tests were taken and samples of both crystals showed some level of magical properties when exposed to each other. Then on the same year the residents of the tribe of time were shocked when a large purple crystal shot through their vortex and crashed into a large door they had set to protect their secrets. Again, samples were taken and even more magical potential showed from all three crystal samples put together. But everything changed when ten years later leaves rustled from inside the ancient jungled, the very same claimed by the first tribe and named Dernal. The wind became greater and only more greater, weak trees uprooted and were thrown together. The winds gathered in a singular location, leaves spun round making a rough crystal-type shape. When--all the sudden--the wind stopped causing everything to fall. A small crater formed in the middle of the chaos which was where a large leaf-green crystal lay.

A large research facility where the crystals were being studied decided to cautiously place all four crystals next to one another. The building evidently imploded taking a large area of land with it, the force of the crystals connecting was enough to wake an ancient entity sleeping somewhere under the facility. The entity carved away the terrain in an instant. Using its built up energy the entity opened its own realm with a portal leading directly to it. This entity infected its first host when they took a step through the portal. Let’s say that 99.9% of creatures are made up of three forms, their body or vessel, their spirit or the culmination of everything they have ever done, and the soul which makes up the essence of “you” and ties body and spirit together. When you cross the portal to the realm of the corruption your soul is instantly destroyed, which would usually cause the spirit to detach from the body and (in a metaphysical form) float upwards while being what is essentially braindead, and moving onto whatever lies “beyond.” The same happens when you die. Though, when stepping through the portal the soul is destroyed and replaced by the entity, corruption, which on its own bonds body and spirit, making for a mindless drone under the control of whoever the hive decides as its leader.

This hive spread like a disease, taking out Olm kind extremely fast. In an effort to save their kind they did secret research on the crystals and elders from each tribe came together to use the crystals and seal the portal to the realm of corruption forever. Afterwards, seeing the true power of the crystals, one was tossed in the forbidden ocean, one was buried with the sand Emperor Nabak (yeah, I did my research!), and another was sealed deep underground in an overgrown forest. The final crystal, thought to be the key between all the crystals was placed unimaginably deep in the ground in a specially designed temple guarded by the Olm’s limited dark magic. After the Olm sealed the portal to the corruption, the remaining corrupted entities managed to wipeout the Olm and without new hosts, the corrupted entities died. Leaving the realm of corruption to be opened and released again many thousands of years later by foolish miners. This entity disbalanced the levels of darkness and light in the world more than it already was as it was a new powerful entity separate from Dark and Light that only wished to wreak havoc and cause discord.

Many, many thousands of years later, Fruma’s government began to fall apart and a couple hundred people wished asylum in a rumoured far away land, for years they laboured to break through the mountain that was once the site of an avalanche all that time ago. Going through they settled the new land, the name they gave it was forgotten. As after Frumians (who now went by the race name of Human being) settled in the new land they discovered ancient ruins, scientists studied these for many years and translated one word from the old language. “Wynn” and that is what they renamed the land and the rest is already written!

TL;DR, A God gives birth to two entities, one of pure Darkness, and one of pure Light, they both make their own realms and the conscious life in the realm of darkness overthrow their leader, killing the demigod. While the demigod of light turns her physical form into the center of her realm, keeping it alive almost indefinitely. After the death of the demigod, the dark realm falls into ruin and the life goes into the new land created by the main God as she walked in despair and killed herself. The original God’s physical form became the entity known as the corruption and was opened by the beings coming from the dark realm. But before that one tribe of people from the dark realm go across to Gavel and their evolution is quickened (read the main post to know why.) Creating a multitude of new races. Another goes far west and accidentally seals themselves away from the rest of the world (Frumians.) The tribes in the land of Wynn come across four naturally made crystals and use them to eventually seal the portal to the corruption and then the Olm are wiped out by the remaining corrupted entities, who then also die without new hosts. After a while, Frumians journey to Wynn and settle there. In the main post I also say why the darkness is in Gavel, but that would be too long to explain here, so goodbye!

I’d rather you not critique my writing too much as I kinda just shit this out to briefly explain what :could: be the history of the universe of Wynn. Sure, I skipped a lot around and quite frankly I could've written the whole history (more of the one I just made up) into a book, *cough* The Silmarillion *cough* You know, I skipped several wars and a lot of killing, but I covered the main points I literally made up, so I think I did an Ok job at it. And on a final note, I hope you enjoyed my little made up history!

This could totally be in General Suggestions, but Its not like this could ever be implemented so whatever. . .

    [Some More Complicated Topics!]

Ok, ok, this "lore" is a bit confusing since it is just roughed out a bit, so lemme write some more stuff down here that I don't feel like incorporating into the actual work!

The Crystal origins! The crystals formed because of the dark magic brought into the Land of Wynn (which was created by the God Nakal while she was depressed.) By the Olm (who were the conscious life created by the demigod, Darkness.) When the tribes of Olm, (One in the Dernal Jungle, one in Time Valley, and one in the desert. There were other tribes, but they didn't play a role in the crystals [Gavel and Fruma Tribes]) split up and entered Wynn, their usage of the dark arts unintentionally forced the land to create the purest form of itself and what the Olm had done to it. (Desert tribe = desert crystal, Time tribe = mystical purple crystal, Jungle tribe = leak crystal. And the culmination of the lands created the fire crystal. [Which was tossed into the ocean after the war against corruption and carried by the waves to where the volcanic isles stand today, the crystal reactivated ancient volcanic activity.])

Erm, The Realm of Darkness is both Dern (Dern is collapsed and destroyed because after the death of the demigod, Darkness, the land lost its power.) and The Decay. They are slightly different because of the amount of strength left in their parts! (Dern doe not have reason to be anymore so it lays in ruin while the Decay is still going strong as The Realm of Darkness is trying to restore balance by touching the realm of light, [If the Realm of Light and Darkness touch, Darkness will accidentally consume the light because Darkness contains more power than Light (refer to paragraph 1 of main post.)])

The Olm tribe that left Wynn to head west and conquer the land they named Fruma, they did not have a quickened evolution, but because of the absence of the Realm of Darkness, the Olm lost their ability to properly channel magic (mainly dark magic.) Forcing their bodies to change to a different shape (almost the same, small differences!) They didn't want help from the other tribes, and a mudslide sealed them into Fruma. They forgot about Wynn and that is why they didn't come back sooner.

Life (other than Olm/Humans [same thing basically]) in Wynn and Fruma was generated by the walk of despair that led up to Nakal's death. She created the life that is not extremely intelligent and cannot use magic in any way.

The Corruption was made from the emotions sealed inside the physical form of the God Nakal.

That just about clears stuff up, Ima go do something productive now. . .

I love how there was that one god that was so incompetent that they managed to seal themselves.
Tho seriously this is far better than anything I could hope to accomplish in 15 hours, much less 15 minutes.
