I tried making a boss song using Noteblock Studios. It isn't very good, and it's very repetitive. However, it is the first complete boss song I composed so that's something good!

    As always, feedback is appreciated.

    Edit:
Some notes do go out of the octave range, I hope that doesn't bother some of you.

    Edit edit:
    Nevermind it doesn't.

Pretty good, but here's a thought.
    During 1:00 to 1:05
It feels like it unnaturally speeds up for me. It also feels like someone's pressing a bit harder on the keyboard during this part.

Personally don't like note block music, but it sounds alright. I wish your chords were more organised, and consider the use of different scales. Also make your songs stand out as a specific genre.

Chords were at a disarray, but the theme although bland at least managed to keep it together somewhat. Not much of a boss theme though, and it's major flaw is that it doesn't really have a theme, it just repeats along a certain set of notes and chords, which again, are at a disarray. Overall, it's not horrible, and is a pretty good attempt at making music, 6\10.

I like how it ends, that's actually pretty unique

Not that it does end, I just like how it ends with a slow, singular melody. Other than that, Other people have already said some stuff that I would've said in terms of how you could improve.

Why does every single piece of music on these forums start the exact same? It's always first the chords, then the drums join in and eventually the melody. If you listen to boss fights out of any game you'll find that a lot of them have a strong melody to start off with and not the exact same excuse for "buildup" as any other song. Also I agree with Seth that the chords are a mess.

Introduction I guess. Also if it were to loop it would sound a bit nicer.

Edit: Also, chords are the sort of backbone of the song, so it would make sense to establish that first before going onto something else.

Most boss themes just don't loop the introduction. Now I get that in Wynncraft the music doesn't do this, but that doesn't make the song any better.

I think they start the same (including my pieces) because a lot of songs in the actual game start with chords. Not all of them, but a lot of them. They include some of the first pieces in the game, including what is arguably the most famous one Detlas. I could go on with examples, but that would waste time. My point is, when people like me and Euxis make wynncraft music, we base it off of wynncraft pieces, which often start with chords, so we start with chords.

That being said, your point is still a damn good one.

Pretty great, although I like something that insinuates a slow methodical boss battle, but hey that’s just me.

    What software is this
