Prediction About Relics

As many of you will know, relics used to be in-game, they were at different shrines and would reward you with powders mostly, but some of them would give armour, weapons (or emeralds in one case). We also know that the Temple of Time can allow the player to see things from the past and in order to access that time, you need to sacrafice an item (or relic) to get there.
Grian has previously said that Relics will be getting re-introduced but being quite different, so my prediction is that there will be a relic (or more) in each area of the world that when taken to the Temple of Time, will allow you to see the history of that area.
This would be a great way for the player to find out the history of different areas without quests having to shoe-horn it into their text.

Lol no he didn't. He said that discoveries were a replacement for relics. Bringing relics back would be a waste of time

 

I'm pretty sure it was said during the Corkus livestream. He said about removing them so that they could do something else with them.

 

"do something else with them" may still have been referring to doing something else with the concept of secret locations (discoveries).

Personally I don't care if relics come back or not, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the Door of Time being used more. It's such a cool location for only one quest.

 

I will be very happy to see relics being reintroduce to the game and it might be in the 1.18 update.

I just watch the whole Corkus livestream and didn't hear him saying anything about relics .

Did grian said anything about relics in some other place?

I was searching for relics and I found that in the dungeons&Discovery update salted talked about relics.

Here is what salted said:

• All relics have been removed, though discoveries should give you plenty of new secrets to find. Relic items may become obtainable in some other way in the future.

It seems they will (maybe) reintroduce item relics but you can't get powders from them anymore.

Whether or not this gets implemented into the game, this is a cool idea so don't mind me while I steal the idea to use in my Wynncraft-based D&D campaign :3

 

Honestly, you (or someone) should expand even more on this idea and put it into suggestions. This would seriously make an awesome addition to the game.
