I am trying to configure an end game poison build for my mage. Initially, I just slapped this together, using the highest poison gear, items, and wand on Wynndata.

    https://wynndata.tk/s/qn3gA8

I am surprised that this is wearable. However, the Health Regen and Water Defense is atrocious. Losing almost 1000 hp from negative Health Regen is a nightmare.

I want to keep it above 12,000/3s Poison if possible. Though I would not mind 9,000/3s or higher if it is needed to fix elemental defenses.

So I tried replacing Cardiac Arrest, Acid, and Krolton's Cruelty, with other items but alas, I cannot find a solution.

What would you change to fix this build?

    OR

If you have a better poison build, what is it?

    Thanks.

I've been testing poison builds for about a month now and found out that it is more reliable and easy to play than everyone thinks it is.
Here are some of the things that I've found out

Poison is effected by curse and courage, and possibly other specials too but they dont matter. I recommend courage because it buffs you instead of debuffing the enemies, though you get 60% less damage, it works better in a poison build.
Unlike what most people think, you don't have to wait for your poison's pulses to end to attack again, your attacks dont restart the poison pulse timer, so using a auto clicker to constantly spam as you run through enemies and attack everything you see works.
Though sequoia has really nice poison, it requires too much sp, sp you could instead spend on other gear or more agi-def. There is a buff coming to Bismuthinite, making it the second highest poison wand with 40 less sp requirement than sequoia. or you could use rotten wood/plague staff but rotten wood is a level 65 item so its kinda hard to obtain and plague staff is obtained through an annoying boss altar.
There is also rot of dernel but that doesnt have powder slots so we're gonna ignore it.
Most of the poison gear has alternative items depending on what you want to build.

    Here are some
    Helmet should always be necrosis,
For chestplate, you can use leo for hp and hpr, Sky chef's apron for sp or Boreal patterned aegis for defs.
Pants are less flexible, its usually either vaward for sp or hephaestus for defenses.
Boots are either scorpio for just poison, or humbark for less poison but more ls and a little higher def.
For rings, I didnt try that many but it usually comes down to acid for poison, prism/finesse for sp and defs but they are usually flexible enough to be swapped with whatever is needed. (Something like bubble for example).
Though Krolton's cruelty has poison, I prefer clockwork for its hp and defs. You can also use prowess/discordant for sp if thats what you end up needing.
Necklace is either fusion/gigabyte or planet healer. Though extra sp is nice, 1k poison from ph is too nice to pass since you'll be losing about 1k from switching sequoia.
Though there are other options for everything, I'm too lazy to test them out so /shrug.

this is what I ended up with.
https://wynndata.tk/s/VkUeoQ for a simple and prob quite cheap build with a ton of sp flexibility and hp, 2 defenses are bad but it is good enough to survive in wars.
https://wynndata.tk/s/6QmUEz Nice 11k dps, 12k hp and positive defs but not very flexible so no agility ;(.
https://wynndata.tk/s/U3g6cK Not that sp tight and still has agility, sub 10k poison but 14k hp and positive defenses (thanks bubble).

Switching between builds is quite easy with poison so just experiment between to find whatever fits for you.
I ended up using the first one and it's working out great.
