If I Upgrade My Rank, Will I Lose My Vet Tag?

I know the answer to this question seems obvious but I want to be sure.

I bought the cheapest rank back when I first starting playing wynn, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out after a hiatus that I had a veteran tag. I'm very thankful for the tag, but I'm hoping that if I upgrade my rank to (hopefully) Hero I get to keep my vet tag. Just in case there's a glitch with the system that would delete it.

 

I've updated my rank twice and the Vet tag remains. I think that as long as you've had VIP before August 2014 it stays.

I can confirm that, the Veteran rank is separate from purchased ranks. You either have it or you don't, but purchasing a higher rank doesn't override it.
