Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

Well it's my first day here sooooo...
Let's just stay in Dez's room and meditate. >.<
Maybe I'll get an interesting night life later. ;p;

EDIT: Actually, I thought of something more Ling like.
Let's search the city for shiny things (magical) and bring them all back to Dez's room before the sun comes up. xD

 

Thorston nods and heads up to that room.
Thorston: "Thanks."

 

I close the pasageway, and then leave the room and try the last door.

 

That.... that's going to be amazing in the morning.

You open the door to an inujred lady passed out on one bed, greatsword in a scabbard haphazardly leaning against it, and some kind of bookworm (a mage?) surrounded by books, papers, and madness on the room's table. There are 4 beds in total, the ones on the far side of the wall untouched. The sun's gone down, and the only lighting this room has is a pinprick of light, probably the mage's spell.

It's unlocked. As you slip into the third and final room, you can hear two people come up the stairs, find nothing, and turn around.

This room is.. just blank. It's just unfurnished stone walls, with a lantern fixed to the ceiling.

 

I decide to go back into the second room.

 

Thorston sits down on one of the untouched beds.

 

The secret bookshelf needs to be re-opened, and after you do you find....
two guys, one with a spear directly into your face.
"See? What'd I tell you. Knew it for sure the second I saw the bookshelf open."
"Fine, fine, I get it."
"You owe me drinks tonight, then."

The bed's practically made out of rock laced with knives, and the mage clearly expected you to jump into it or something along those lines. You can see the disappointment etched onto his face.
"All the beds are like that, so don't even think about it."

 

I burst out crying, pleading, “Look guys, I don’t care who you motherfuckers are, who’s motherfuckin’ mansion this is, or what ya’ll motherfuckers are doin’. I JUST WANT SOME MOTHERFUCKIN’ LARD SO I CAN MAKE JOKE!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!? TO FORCE FEED MYSELF UNTIL I’D BE BURSTING!?!

 

Thorston: "Not sure what I expected, really."

 

The one holding the spear responds.
"Rall... does lard fall under create food and water?"
"I think so? No idea"
"Cast it."

Roughly 3 seconds later, you have a lump of frozen lard on the ground.

"So it does. Now, get out of here."

"I mean, it's a gold for 2 beds. Of course it's terrible."

 

"Thanks! "
I quickly grab the lard and run out. I then go behind a corner and start devouring it.

 

The second Thorston's asleep, clock'll strike midnight on Tillow and day 4 will begin.
(If anyone's still catching up on this. I'll tag just in case.)

but ok.
Uhhh... I can't actually bear to write the process so I'll just say you're done.

 

Bloated, I walk back to the foyer.

 

The guy who hired you looks taken aback for a moment.
"That fast‽ You're.. you're not dead?"

 

“Yeeeep” I said with a grin.

 

He moves closer to you, and his voice drops to a menacing whisper.
"Now, then. Do it."

 

“Ok” I go do whatever he wanted me to do in the first place.

 

Thorston: "...Wait, what?"

 

The mage looks confused for a few seconds before he bursts into incapacitating laughter. As it dies down, and he's rubbing the tears from his eyes, he turns towards you.
"You poor, poor naive bastard."

He wanted you to cause some big evil looking distraction for him? Pretty sure that was it.
