Minecraft Dungeons Announced

It, basically looks/sounds just like wynncraft, just with a official "by Mojang" tag on it. Huh, might be interesting. (sorry if someone already made a post on this)

It doesn't sound or look like Wynncraft at all. It was said it is a dungeon crawler in the style of Minecraft, probably with a top down view. I guess you can think of it as something similar to the Diablo games

 

Where are you getting that info from? Honestly it's likely to be standard minecraft, less coding that way, and with Mojang's record on cutting corners its likely that option.
I pointed out it looks like a Wynn because it does, with Wynn being the only well fleshed rpg server on minecraft its only base of comparison looking so close. I wasn't saying they ripped off Wynn or anything, I just it looks n sounds like like an endless dungeon mode of Wynn' CSST just with 4 players instead of 50.

 

Dungeon crawlers are usually top down, though they may be trying something else. But I think I heard something like that while watching Minecon Earth, said by Jeb himself. I can't find the timestamp anymore tho

Again, unlikely, its not a rule dungeon crawlers to be top down, and while Mojang has been putting out better updates, they are still a big company and the fact its being built by a small team according to the post. They are likely gonna use minecraft's base code and from being a modder myself, it would be pretty damn hard to get the mess that is the minecraft java code to be a top down hoard fighter.
I do retract my statement about it being completely like Wynn, while it looks like it has a lot a Wynn mechanics, some of the stuff seem inspired by other stuff like Diablo, but still has some Wynn-ish stuff sprinkled in. Even then though, Wynn is based on mmorpg and D&D so.

 

Inb4 mojang sues wynn for stealing their idea

 

Doesn't have an archer class. Literally unplayable.
