I'm sensing these teasers are going to come out faster, with the last teaser being at least two weeks away from the next update. (My guess for next update is thanksgiving break/early december)

Okay, actual theory time. I feel like the 5 new gems are the focus of this picture, and I think you'll have to somehow mine them yourself. I'm convinced that all of Salted's teasers show professions, such as fishing (fish piston), farming (tasty berries), and woodcutting (crab teaser, notice the tree stumps in the background). Maybe this is some mining profession, where you can get things such as they gems and sell them for money. This probably sounds a bit ridiculous, and professions probably aren't entire focus of next update, but I'm still gonna believe in my theory.

 

Theres probably just gonna be a thanos revamp,
Or 50% of the game (Gavel) will be reworked lorewise

Highly doubt it. That would throw the economy into chaos.

First of all, there is definitely a countdown going on here. First post fish getting crushed had 7 emeralds, tasty berries 6, crab post 5 emeralds and this one 4. 3 more teasers to go.

Next important thing is all the teasers show some sort of profession, berries/farming. Crushing fish, processing goods. Crabs, fishing. And in that post salted also mentioned herring, another kind of fish. And in this one gems, mining.

The items used for the countdown are emeralds, emeralds are the fuel for the economy.

I would say they are going to improve the economy and add some sort of professions, new ways to make money.
3 more spoilers to go and we may get some real information.
