Sure did. All I'm saying is you should make it clear when you're talking about your own theory and not factual lore from the game, so people who aren't fully aware of the lore don't get confused with what story the game is trying to tell.

I agree; one of my personal favorite aspects of Wynn is the small scale with the corruption; even if it itself is a general “evil force”, you actually see how people and towns react to it on an individual level; Theorick tries to kill it at the source, Garoth and the Corrupted Village guy attempt to study it’s causes and effects like it’s an illness, and the Ragni farmers generally just resign themselves to the fact that it’s a part of life. Not only that, but the process to fight against it isn’t a one and done “kill the boss and the problem is over”. It actually feels like a fight’s been happening for a while, with the watchtowers and broken walls; we’re just there to help the effort to stop it from completely taking everything over. There are heroes from before our time with their own mythos, as well.

Meanwhile, the light and darkness battle is just sort of... there. The Decay just feels like a sort of rehash of the corruption, right down to the black and red spikes. The whole of Eye of the Storm and the Light Realm trilogy are just cut the head off the snake-esque, save the world stories, and honestly those are the ONLY questlines that tie into the whole ‘light-vs-dark’ motif, or the decay, meaning that you don’t really feel like there’s actually anything happening beyond what they say is happening.
