Community Event Golfbawl's Themed Build Contest

Hello, welcome all!
As an avid Wynncraft player, I've always wondered how other players like to set up their classes, and how each player chooses to develop his or her builds. I want to use this community event as a way of sharing something with the community, and as a way of helping myself learn new ways in which I can approach 'building' in Wynncraft. After some research, I wanted to host themed building competitions, with ideas and inspirations for this little event originating from @SilverMirror 's item creation contest.


What is this 'build contest' and how does it work?
This contest is an ongoing event, and I hope that I will get the opportunity to host multiple rounds to keep it running. At the beginning of each round, I will develop a theme for the contest. This theme describes all the requirements for the build that you are submitting. It may give details such as class prerequisite, play style, ID and stat requirements, and outline limitations and restrictions in order for your build to qualify.

Once the round has begun, you will have a certain number of days to enter a build into the contest. Each player only gets ONE submission per round. You cannot enter a build, then resubmit it after discovering that you could have made numerous improvements to your previous submission. One submission only, so make it count. If, however, I notify you that your submission does not qualify for the round, you may post another submission.

Submissions will be posted on this thread. Once posted, I will notify you if your submissions is accepted. If you decide to ignore the statement above and post multiple submissions on entry, I will take the first one listed.

All submissions MUST be completed on Wynndata's builder tool (credits to @dukioooo for the development of this incredible tool. Link is wynndata.tk).

If you wish, you may also post your submission with an explanation/justification so I can understand your thinking process for the creation of the build. This will help me judge the submissions and might be of benefit to yourself.

Once I have finished accepting submissions (I will be sure to post when each round finishes ahead of time so players are aware) I will then evaluate each submission based on how well they follow the theme/criteria I have given.

Prizes will be handed out to the players who develop the top 2 builds.


Rules and Regulations (General)
Be aware that specific rules and regulations will be given per round, based on the theme I am giving. The rules listed here are general contest guidelines. Failure to abide by these rules may have you disqualified from the ongoing round or blacklisted from the contest entirely.

-Respect everyone's work on this thread. While this is a contest, it is also a place to share your own ideas, but be sure to avoid unnecessary hate.

-IM teams members and CT are permitted to join (this might change if they end up dominating the contest too much)

-I reserve the right to change requirements, criteria, or the theme of a round if I feel that there is some issue. I will avoid this as much as possible however and will notify contestants if changes are made.

-Do not modify the value of certain identifications given by your build as an attempt to cheat. Raising them in attempt to make your build better than possible is grounds for immediate disqualification from the round. You can (and should) allocate SP as permitted, but changing identifications to become higher than possible is not permitted.

-DO NOT COPY OTHER PEOPLE'S BUILDS AND CALL IT YOUR OWN. If I feel that your build is too similar to another submission, I will not allow the submission to qualify for the round.



If you wish to participate, leave your submission in this thread whenever there is a round going on. Please note that for the first couple of rounds, this contest might be really shaky, as I have yet to fix up issues with the way I have set this event up. No restrictions, do your best to make a build that you think is best. Once your build is complete, a simple explanation as to what your build is and why you think it's good will help your performance in this round considerably (if I have to analyze the entire build myself, I might come off with a totally different idea of what it was originally intended to do).

Thought process here is that you have not awful defenses (and 100 agil, which makes up for the hp imo), with the only problems you'll face coming from Earth. But, thanks to the 105 Intel you should be able to get past the rather low damage and simply abuse vanish and spin attack to stay on top.

Over 10k hp which is always nice, ok damage given the boundaries that have been give, and reaches 68 intel and respectable agility after investing spare sp. Squid anklet can be swapped to insulation I guess if you dont want to have to spam powders on armour as much, although that sacrifices one of your mana.

Sorry for the late response, but I have accepted all of the entries posted previously. Two more days until this round is over and I start evaluating.

Ye I know, I'm still working out how to design each challenge because if I make it too broad, it becomes too hard for me to judge. At the same time though, making it too restrictive ends up in a challenge like what you mentioned, too nitpicky and detailed that you always get the impression you screwed up somewhere. Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate it.

 

No longer accepting submissions for round 1. I will have results out by the end of the weekend.

 

First of all, I am aware that many of your builds might be rendered unusable thanks to the new item push that was made in the past few days. For this round, I have decided to evaluate the original submissions (the stats of the original build are stored in wynndata), not taking into account the item changes made in this push. For future rounds, I will extend the round by another amount of time and request everyone to make changes to their submissions as necessary.

Anyways, here are the results (and some feedback for everyone who participated this round)

wynndata.tk/s/uRbEWh @tigersrule12 Your build had potential. However, just make sure that you use those bonus SP given and allocate them. Keep in mind that I do not make any modifications to the builds after they are submitted, which means that it is your job to finish allocating the spare SP into whatever skills you see fit. You got the right idea, but focus on finishing your build for next time.

wynndata.tk/s/T09nqa @Glenncrafter I liked the way that you were able to incorporate several different weapons into one build, allowing you to switch out between them as fit. Not bad. Your build had a lower agility count and slightly weaker -defenses, which really hurt your build's performance. Make sure to allocate the spare SP you had for next time.

wynndata.tk/s/7NiJld @Goden Your build was very well done. A high agility count, great intel, which gives your build excellent survivability. I'm placing your build in 2nd place.

wynndata.tk/s/fPOkbo @from I believe that you had the best build overall. While I will admit that Goden's build had better survivability, with 9% more agility and a much higher spammability for stunlocking with spin attack, your build balanced out the aspects I was looking for, with a still-respectable mana and intel and fair agility. However, what really sold this build to me was the higher damage. I'm placing your build in 1st place.

With that said, winners are @Goden (4LE) and @from (6LE). Please tell me your IGN, and I will hand out your prizes when I am available online.

I will have a round 2 begin by Monday the 17th (tomorrow).
