Wynncraft Speedrunning

Disclaimer: im not a moderator on speedrun.com, I am attempting to get it so I can edit the rules/categories to make it better. If you don't like some of the rules/have suggestions feel free to pm me and I might be able to see if I can get it changed

Now then, "What is speedrunning?" you might ask. Well speedrunning is essentially attempting to complete something in the fastest time possible, and in this case myself and others, are trying to complete things in wynncraft as fast as possible.

So, before I get insulted for speedrunning in minecraft, this is actually really enjoyable to be honest and I highly recommend you try it first. A lot of people seem to not know or not care about Speedrun.com (A website used to keep records of speedrun times) On that website, believe it or not you can find wynncraft, or simply by clicking here. It has a wide range of categories including, All discoveries, level 1-100, and individual levels, such as dungeons and mini-dungeons.

I think it'd be really nice if a lot more people decided to start picking up speedrunning wynn, dungeons for example. I've already done a couple dungeons to kind of "get the ball rolling" (SST, FF & DS). I would like if some people attempted to beat these times, as i'm a very competitive person myself, and even setting times in other dungeons, so there is more diversity in what is being run. I keep speedrunning Murder Mystery. My best time is under three minutes.

Honestly, I've been planning on working on a speedrun from level 1 to 100 in a single day. That might be possible but it's likely extremely hard.

I am working on the quickest path to get to level 100 to see how long it would take, but it would be very luck-based :/

That sounds pretty cool. I think the time for a 1-100 run is about 10 hours rn.

Tbh, I think there should be rules.
NO CSST (It is luck dependant if there is a party happening or you pay for it)
NO TOTEMS (Advantages for ranked)
TIMER STARTS WHEN NEW CLASS IS MADE
YOU CAN ONLY USE GEAR AND ITEMS AND MONEY GOTTEN FROM THE SPEEDRUN
(it means you cannot use a horse you got before the run or weapons before the run too)

I'd personally say timer starts when you first move, in case people have rendering issues, makes it a bit fairer

I think there could be 2 categories, NG (New Game) which would be this, and NG+ (New Game+) where you can use items from other sources. Both should be solo gameplay only though (No one to help with bosses), and if you have to switch worlds, the timer should be paused in order to allow people who have issues with loading the resource pack to have a more fair chance.
Otherwise, solid rules

 

Good point, can you remake the rules to make them sound better than my all caps blasting? Mobile sucks.

Sadly I'm not a mod on speedrun.com for wynncraft, so I can't edit any of the rules (trying to popularise this so I can get it) there's some things wrong with the boards and I want to get them changed

 

I've got something I want to try, every single dungeon in the game consecutively (buying scrolls beforehand ofc), and see how fast I can do it, probably gotta set aside some time tho.

 

I was thinking about this too, was also thinking about proposing it to the moderators on speedrun.com once again if i was a mod I could make this myself xd
