Everybody gets criticism, I'd say ignore my comments if they are so hurtful to you. You don't have to respond to me. Sure I'll keep messaging you probably, but you can keep ignoring me.

 

No, rtd will not be the next update, however there will still be a 1.18 update, but it will have none of the RtD related content. Hope this clears up.

Rtd (I believe, but I don't know) will be EVENTUALLY in-game, but not as of the upcoming 1.18 update.

 

Not sure if this has already been answered but it's been postponed, not cancelled. So what's there should stay and be released only in a future update.

 

One of the reasons this took so long was that life occurred. We are human beings, as I stated; as much as I'm on Wynn that doesn't go for everyone; we have lives outside of Wynn for the most part and Grian is no exception. Due to the sudden nature of the change and how it lined up, we didn't have the chance to, or the knowledge of how to break the news to the community immediately. If we would have been able to present this news earlier, we would have.

You also push this as far more blase than it really was; we didn't want to have to do this, and considering that Grian was receiving personal attacks on his career, joking or not...like I said, that's a low blow. Those kinds of comments will always sting That's what I mean by Schrödinger's Insult; sarcasm doesn't travel well over text, and given the personal nature of the comment there was no way to take it except seriously.

This is someplace where I have to disagree with you on. What the community wants is definitely very important, but it isn't paramount to what the game might need, and as much as we want to give you RTD, the game just currently isn't quite in the state to do so given what else there is to work on. What is it? To tell you, I'd have to ask the owners for permission, otherwise it'd be leaking. Grian even stated right in the thread:

We were disappointed that we had to take this shift due to the community's expectations. If it wasn't integral to the game's health and future, we wouldn't have made this change due to those exact expectations. The hope is that, despite not receiving RTD this update, what we do give will yet be satisfying and fun to the players.

Vitriol slides right off my back, but it doesn't so easily for others. These aren't hurtful to me, they're hurtful to Grian and the people who worked on RTD.

Stating your opinion that you're disappointed that RTD isn't this updte is perfectly fine. But, the way you worded it, it was obvious you were trying to get people riled up and on your side. As stated, insisting that people be on your side, and presenting your opinion in a way that is, whether you meant it or not, insulting? There's where the problems occur. That's where I take issue.


Also, you keep typing "cummunity" consistently enough that it can't be a spelling error.

The RtD images look awesome! But I'm sure whatever the next update is will be just as amazing, and I'm sure the community can wait a little longer for Dern

 

Not next, next is 1.18 that doesn't have a released name yet.
