Chance For Mythic Out Of Chest

I have been doing 1/3 of the Rodoroc loot run and have gotten a ton of legends but what is the chance of a mythic out of a tier 2 with 173% loot bonus

 

I think normally it’s around 0.0007% (not sure, I just know it’s a bunch of zeroes and a seven)

 

I believe 0.0007% (or whatever it is) is per item

So each item has a whatever % chance to be a Mythic


No chest has a set chance for certain amounts or types loot. There's plenty of variables that may affect the chance of a Mythic (How long the chest had been there, what level the chest is, etc)

7/10,000 for an item in a chest to be a mythic
7/1,000,000 for an item dropped by a mob to be a mythic

Loot Bonus produces more items, but it doesn't increase the chance of an item being a mythic.

 

I believe a few months ago someone made a thread asking how many chests people looted and mythics they got from those, then averaged the chances out. I believe they came up with a number around 1/7k - 1/7.5k (pre-lb on chests). It would certainly make sense. I've gotten 5 mythics in 33k chests, with the chests after 24k being with 90% lb (52% on chests). Of course, tiers and how long chests have been unlooted change your chances. There are a lot of variables, but roughly 1/7.5k is a good figure without loot bonus and on your average loot run.

 

If I'm thinking of the same thread as you, it's inaccurate, because it only measured to chances of the people that actually got a mythic.

 

I was unaware. Probably the best number we have though, since now people are using different loot bonuses and have been for different periods. It could be lowered a bit, but that's all we could do unless someone embarked on a long study. Thanks for informing me of that.
