Judging Mythics At 2 Am Cuz I Can

Its 2 AM and I decided to waste my time by judging all of the mythics becuase im bored and dont wanna sleep

here we go i guess

This is all baced off of opinion so if you do not agree with my judgements i dont care feel free to tell me your opinions

This may be updated as buffs and nerfs come through and as my view of certain items chages

Pure

Good spell dmg and mana steal but, no powder slots? Why? Overall it's not too bad for its level but why is there a lv 65 mythic?

Not to great overall but it is 1 higher ws than Slider and actually has powder slots

Meh dmg, bad ids and you get Spiritshock 5 levels later. But atleast it has 5 powder slots

Makes my top 5 (i can feel @CountBurn getting triggered from here) highest lootbonus in the game and yes, you can grind mobs with it if you're good.

High hp, you can actually move in it and has good ids unlike Statue, overall not bad.

Hero

It's ok, I guess, tied for highest walkspeed spear (buff Hero walkspeed) and there, and I cant rly think of anything else to say.

Galleon

Best boots imo, amazing hybrid potential (mana steal -attack tier earth damage and meele dmg) has literally no downsides cuz the -attack tier is for easier steals.

Boreal

Fun and good, it has mana regen, hp regen (pairs well with Warp) and good ws, there are better ws options but do they have mana hp regen and 3.3k hp?

Freedom

Good stats all around, good dmg, no debuffs and 3 mr

Guardian

I love this spear but its quite bad, it has good hp, but bad dmg and hpr is basically useless in combat.

Very unique and fun to use, good thunder meele dmg and dex, but -hpr hurts

Alkatraz

Can get 27k dps with normal tier stack and is good for hybrids (have i ever mentioned alkatraz+galleon+tuarus?) rip powder slots tho.

Grandmother

Insane dmg and insane drawbacks, can reach over 1k earth dmg powdered, but -hpr hurts if yur bad

Tank archer is bad, and it has bad tank ids (3k hp and...hpr...see guardian) but actually has decent dmg

Good offence is a bad defence? Good damage along with an explosion chain on low hp mobs which is always fun, but has horrible defence debuffs.

I hate this wand for some reason but cant deny its good, does good damage especially for a mage, and with mages range, AoE wall hack dmg it amazing

I FOUND A MYTHIC!!!!!!!!! *96-100 boots* The epidomy of all mythics this thing is the mythic equivalant to Sitis, way too common, and ontop of that its not that great, its ids are ok but 120str? wat?

Tank mage is ok... when you can heal... with -int and -water dmg this thing has no direct way of regening hp, who thought tank mage without heals was a good idea anyway? Sadly I must say Pwing>Monster

Insane ws viable for combat at the -hp penalty isnt that bad considering youre fast which means mobs wont be able to hit u as easily (ranged ones mostly) and u have high agi.

Good dmg, rip ws, and 15 frikin powder slots (yay 1k thunder)

Very fun to use high walk speed and with a good -mr roll you can heal the -hpr, goes great with Boreal

you specified that its good for farming mobs which is correct (except farming mobs sucks anyways) I would get around 3 to 6 legendarys farming 30 minuets with mob totems and get about 3 to 6 legendarys using 180% disco

catas -hp isnt a problem because you dont even have to be a glass cannon, whats stopping you from just going tank build? not something like a super high dex req so you cant go tanky with it

 

If this thread taught me anything, it's that we can't agree on everything about mythics.

That list feels even more wrong that mine or even the topic one. (Even that mine dosent exsits (yet)).

 

Here is my question to you.
If you are rating mythics, why is an argument against Ignis a defensive quality of an archer? If tank archer is bad, then that's an "issue" with the archer, not the weapon itself.

 

these mythic threads are becoming more and more common aa, but ill put down my two cents on a couple of weapons.

Most tank weapons are going to suffer, simply because this game is so centralized around damage. Guardian itself is an excellent weapon, but the fact that mobs can heal in combat does nothing but completely dick it over in most situations. Bishops in wars only further encourage and necessitate high damage playstyles, making Guardian builds rather ineffective for both wars and pvb.

As for Ignis, it is statistically one of the best mythics in the game if you ask me. It has Guardian-esque buffs with a requirement of only 80 SP, the lowest of any mythic, and still has decent damage. It is stupidly flexible for a high number of builds. Tank archer sucks, yes, so stop trying to build it tank and try something else with it (agility defense ignis is honestly amazing).

As for Nullification, I would say it is bad except it can solo wars with 0 pots and in a timely manner. For guild wars, a good Nulli setup is essentially as tanky as an Apoc build, except it has spells and is just way danker in every way.

As for Monster, I don’t completely disagree. I think the only part that really offs me about Monster is how lackluster the melee damage is for a melee oriented weapon.
