    YouTube Recommendation/A short essay

    Sub count: 86k
    Category: Music

GYARI is a Japanese vocaloid/jazz channel on YouTube with a fairly small following. While his most popular song is 6.7 million views, his other songs barely break a million. However what makes this artist stand out from the rest? It is simply due to the amount of effort he pours into each and every song and the presentation of the song as well is also spectacular and unlike anything I have ever seen out of a single YouTube channel just dedicated to music.

But what type of work does he put into, sure many other music videos these days are professionally filmed with a lot of work into them and can even be acquainted with a long run-time of ~5 minutes. However, GYARI's work is not professionally filmed with a team of camera people, SFX experts, or choreographers to assist in the movement. His presentation is just animations that he does, ALL BY HIMSELF, every single frame, and every shot is drawn by one guy, every original and remix is by him and almost all the work in the channel is done by the SINGULAR person. While that is a feat within itself, it is an even greater one when the songs are
TYPICALLY AN HOUR LONG! Think about it, one guy made an original piece to run for an hour, and then animated the whole hour long song with accompanying animations for the whole goddamn hour.

Granted, the songs uploaded on YT are only about 20-30 minutes each, but that is still a goddamn long time for a song and he advertises the YT videos as just the "short version" of the songs. You can only access the full length if you go on his store to purchase the DVD packs that also contain artwork and other products ALL MADE BY HIM. However due to the amount of work that it takes for each video/product, there are only a total of 12 videos on his channel, 9 of which are actual songs.

However it is not a dead channel as shown by an upload only 5 days ago at the time of writing this, so with all of this in mind I HIGHLY recommend this channel to anyone who is a fan of music, especially those into jazz. Although it is a vocaloid channel, so keep that in mind if you're not into computers "playing" the music in the animations, but other than that, if you're that interested. Here is a video that is essentially a remix/mashup of three of his songs.

And that concludes my short essay on this YouTube channel, I make more in the future if I find another outstanding channel or if the request is high. For now, signing off.

Recently discovered another channel that is also deserves to be mentioned, probably not as obscure but still a good one nonetheless. Hard to find top quality channels nowadays
