Mage/Dark Wizard Help Getting One Shot By Bosses

So i got one shot by mummyboard twice and i was wondering if i could change my build. lvl 100 btw
i currently using:
third eye
aquarius
vaward
momento
prism
detective's ring
knuckle bones
stellar
nepta floodbringer

 

For starters, I'd suggest looking at your accessories. You could use 1 Prism or replace both rings with Marvel or Moon Pool Circlet for spell damage and/or mana regen. Since Knucklebones has a large amount of negative life steal and mana steal, I'd replace it as well with something like Prognosticum (you can get it after beating Corrupted Lost Sanctuary a few times) or Clockwork for some more HP and health regen. Stellar is alright to keep for the time being. Another substitution would be Libra instead of Aquarius. Libra would provide more defenses/health, along with some water damage. Since you'll have enough mana regen/steal from other items, I think the mana regen/spell damage from Aquarius isn't worth it in comparison.

These are just a few things I noticed, but it could definitely be improved more. If you'd like me to delve deeper into other items to use, feel free to ask. I'm also willing to take other suggestions, as I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to making builds.

 

Using libra in a single element build smh

 

Probably.

With this build, you have an insane amount of mana regen (18/4) + over 114 int. Combined with 5/4 natural mana regen, you would need to cast ~3 spells a second to use it all, and considering that it takes 1 second for meteor to finish casting and 3 seconds for heal to finish casting, going through all of that would be a pain.

Considering you'll be Ice Snaking an unecessary amount of times, it'd be better to focus more on getting higher Meteors and Heals rather than trying to spam ice snake 2 times a second, which doesn't really do much.

Considering you want to take time out of your spell cycle to melee (in order to activate Curse), you really don't need all that much mana.

Not quite sure how you're getting "one shot" unless you're getting destroyed by Arrow Storm (in which case you're just not dodging) or if Mummyboard does Thunder Damage.

TL;DR: Too much mana regen

 

Libra is always a viable option, just because it gives bonuses in other elements doesn't mean the bonuses in your element don't count.

What I mean is like yeah libra gives thunder damage, and you're using a fire build, but it also gives fire damage therefore it could still work

Not to mention the elemental defenses which are a lot more important than people think

I know everyone hates on rainbow, but like, what's the issue with it? Elemental defense is a LOT more important than people give it credit for, so why should using an item with good defenses be a bad thing?

 

rainbow builds themselves arent what people hate. no one hates having good elemental defenses, and having all types of elemental damage is fine in most people's view.

perhaps rainbow slap is "different" than what you think

rainbow slap is when you take any build (such as this one) that's not rainbow and start slapping on "meta" rainbow items, morph stardust, libra, prism, dfusion necklace/bracelet/ring, intensity, stellar, nebulous, etc to quickly improve the build without much effort

much like csst, some people use it a lot, some people hate it and think it's lazy

 

You're pouring skill points into stuff that you don't need just to meet the requirements for a rainbow item

at this point you should honestly just use cascade instead of nepta, cause this is basically a rainbow build

 

can confirm, this is basically rainbow build so may as well use cascade

(powder should be thunder + water + water for curse, or thunder + thunder + thunder for raw damage)
