In the News Entertainer Sexually Harrassed People At My College Ceremony

So last night was the final goodbye ceremony for our weeklong event at Purdue called the Boiler Gold Rush. There was supposed to be sone big shot comedian/ventriloquist named Andy Gross, who does hundreds of events every year.

I left before his act because there was a half an hour of dorm chants and a kid beyond screaming before. But when I got back to my dorm I saw this in my group chats:

So I text my high school group chat, and they say this:

So apparently he made a bunch sexual jokes and made a girl touch his back and legs for a stunt (he’s married too). She ran off he stage crying and she was a supervisor too. He was also really unfunny and made a guy sit in his lap and joked about having his hand up the kid’s ass. A kid even went up stage and said that Gross was a pervert aloud on stage. All of the team leaders and supervisors left and so did half the students. Gross even got arrested after the show was done. They couldn’t stop his show midway due to his contract.

So basically it was a huge shitshow and I’m glad I didn’t see it. It just goes to show how fucked up people are. And it’s extrenely ironic because we just had a session about rape and sexual harassment as well as a online module we had to do.

Most names in the Snapchat one are one word names and there's nothing about their contact information. If I posted this thread on Snapchat or Instagram I would, but here it's less well known.

But yeah it's just crazy. The worst part about it is that a girl just got raped a few days ago here too...

 

I hope everyone there is okay after what happened, what he did is totally unacceptable, especially for someone who was hired at a school.

Sometimes people just get tired of life and start acting like that, because ‘who cares, life is pointless’

Little off topic, my college is nothing like my school. My graduating class was 350ish, while Purdue’s freshmen class is the largest in the school’s history. There’s about 8300 freshmen students
