Help With Cybel

So I can solo most parts of Legendary Island without any problem, most of them without potions too, but I fail at Cybel a lot. I need some tips to help beat it better. It's going fine until one of the Cores pulls me towards itself,usually rocketing me far away and I inadvertently step on a plate, and everything goes down hill from there.

Assassin is actually pretty easy. You just need to isolate cybel by multihitting the cores into a corner and continually using spin attack, multihit, and vanish as a combo on cybel in the opposite area.

Uh Ima try to sum up in a nutshell on how to beat Cybel with every class
Archer: Running around like a maniac
Assassin: Vanish exists
Mage: Idfk just spam and hope for the best
Warrior: Did someone say big boi natural defense since cybel does neutral damage? (yes it does say it does thunder and fire but it's only like 1-1 fire/thunder same for the cores)
Also stepping on the plates actually can help you depending on build because of

If you obviously get oneshot anyways then it's going to be pointless
In my previous experiences, it seems to be better to stay slightly away from the walls when fighting Cybel. While this may put you at more of a risk against the cores and possibly the plates, it causes cybel to not have the chance to shoot across the arena with a charge spell and hit you while you're backed into a corner
Oh yeah and pray to god cybel doesn't dupe that helps to
The main thing you want to do though is know where Cybel is at all times
If you see Cybel use a spell, keep your eye on him but move away from him as well, as the last thing you want is for a meteor to hit you but to lose track of where he's spam flying around with his charge as well. It's best to also mentally note where the cores are when you kill them and they go into their second phase so you don't walk too close to them. If you hear the cores explode note which one exploded, etc. The main issue that arises is the last phase (obviously) as this is the phase where Cybel pretty much starts spam charging around the arena as well as getting his push spell so he can now push you into a corner. While he's moving watch to make sure he's not going to land on you and then attack once he isn't moving (as in not practically flying) You also have to try and be aware of where the pressure plates are at the same time so you don't step on them on accident. As for the problem with the cores using their pull spell, the best thing you could probably do is blind them when they pull you towards them (unfortunately warrior can't do this and with mage it's a bit risky if you're an assassin you could probably just vanish instead though). If you do spawn the minions try to group them up and kill them as fast as possible
tl;dr basically pray to the rng gods and hope you don't fuck up
Although it depends on build, from my own experience it was easiest with assassin, since it can utilize all of its spells to effectively counter everything as said here

While my archer could do it quicker, I haven't gotten oneshot at Cybel with assassin but I have with archer so
oh yeah and don't try using fire/thunder dmg against it
It probably won't work in most scenarios

-Use third person mode to be more aware of your surroundings
-If Cybel casts a spell, vanish
-If you're near a Core and it casts a spell, run away
-If you hit a plate, vanish
-If you have lifesteal, Quake, Chain Lightning, and Courage can proc Lifesteal (I think) so that's cool
-Play it safe, don't spent too much time in Vanish, keep yourself relatively at a safe distance from Cybel
-Smoke bomb is great because it slows mobs, has great range, and deals high damage
-Spin attack is also great because it blinds mobs within a 100,000 block range
-Multihit isn't really that great IMO. You can use it to group the disintegrators together, but that's all I MIGHT use it for. If the Cybel is too close, Vanish is a lot safer. It basically stops ALL mobs from attacking you instead of just the ones right in front of you.
-In Stage 5, Cybel will start spamming charge. Stay out of its path, and don't try to chase him.
-If you get cornered, either Vanish or Spin Attack then run. Multihit can work too, but the range might hurt.

The thing is, I have watched YYGamers video, and am using that as a guide. Am even using his build, but I tend to step on plates since I get rocketed a lot

Except the thing is you know, I only got 11 EB on me right now.

 

Stepping on plates is ok, just Vanish, get away, then Smoke Bomb them. Then, resume whatever you were doing before and make sure to cast Spin attack and pay attention to whether or not the minions are dead.

Honestly, in my experience, the hardest part of Cybel was not getting ooffed by Charge.

 

I was doing pretty well, it was on stage 3 or 4 I believe. And then one of the cores pulled me towards them, except that Cybel was hanging around near them, and one of them exploded and Cybel charged me. I ended up at Llevigar.

 

People are telling you the most important things so.. maybe I could tell you some additional things?

- Take out the poison items. Since it deals small knockback, Cybel can suddenly stop and land while charging away.

- If you made big distance from Cybel, try to get middle. Corner is the most dangerous places because of the charge.
(Even there's core on bottom, it's safer)

- If you pressed plates, kill minions as fast as you can. (Even with the triple spin attack) It can heal Cybel, and make you hard to see.

- If you pressed plates 2~4 times in a row, type /class and restart the fight.

 

I do have a decent strategy to kill it, and it seemed to be working pretty well until my luck decided to fuck me up.
I just run in a circular motion in the outer edges, and then smoke bomb the disintegrators. Cybel in the first 4 forms usually chases after me, and I use Smoke Bomb to slow him, then Spin to daze him, multihit and then while the multihit is in progress I run back and then rinse and repeat. Only issue with this strat is that sometimes I trigger multihit before my spin and thus he's no longer dazed and he's free to use a spell.
IMO Cybel is easy if you don't fuck up and press the plates even once.
In Stage 5 however the room for error is close to nil since he usually likes to Charge, and then use Meteor, causing a 1 hit KO(How I died before writing this post). So thanks guys, I think I have a strat. <3

 

I’m assuming you’re assassin cuz of tags.

Okay so first you’re gonna want a good build. Something with 10k+ health, decent elemental defs, and some sp in agility and/or defense so you don’t get one shot by one of its charges. At the same time, make sure you can do a lot of damage so you can kill it fast. Don’t use fire/thunder weapon since Cybel is almost immune to those elements.

Forms 1, 3, and 5 are vulnerable, so during these phases you’re gonna wanna kill Cybel fast so it has less chances to kill you. Make sure to get hit as little as possible while doing so because Cybel deals a lot of damage, enough to two shot most builds. Spin attack helps with both those things a lot as it deals a lot of damage and keeps it still. Stay away from the walls when you see white particles because that’s where charge usually lands. It also occasionally casts meteor, so you’re gonna wanna back off and move when you see it casting a spell. Vanish and multihit are both good for countering meteor and charge.

Forms 2 and 4 are invulnerable and will eventually self-destruct, so you’re gonna wanna focus on surviving in these phases and taking as little damage as possible in preparation for the next phase. Use spells to keep it away from you and to get further away from it.

Phase 5 will stack several charges on top of another, causing it to fly unpredictably around the arena before doing massive damage when it lands. The charge stack will oneshot all but the tankiest of builds. The best ways to counter this is to either vanish or multihit Cybel when you see the singularity of white particles. You’re also gonna wanna kill this phase as fast as you can.

When making use of vanish at any point in the fight, make sure to time and manage it properly as going in vanish drains mana and turns off mana regen.

Disintegrator cores will kill you instantly if you touch them, unless you’re very lucky. Their self-destruct spell also deals a lot of damage. Try not to fight Cybel near them, and always make sure to watch where you’re going. When killing disintegrators, don’t stack the cores close to each other since one can pull you into another. Use multihit to move cores if you feel the need to, or use it to move Cybel away from cores (I prefer doing that).

Cores have pull spell and Cybel has push in phases 3 and 5. Never be in a position where you can be pulled into a core by another, or pushed into one by Cybel. When pulled/pushed, get away from cores and Cybel’s charge landing spot (if it chained charge with push) as fast as possible.

The pressure plates spawning the minions are annoying, but if you must step on them to avoid an attack or to get away, just do it. The minions distract from the fight, but they can be killed quickly, especially with assassin’s spins and smokes. Don’t concentrate too much on avoiding these as it ends up taking your attention away from the fight.

If it glitches and dupes itself, do /class. One is already likely to kill you, so two or more is certain death.

Finally, don’t get too paranoid about everything, it’ll distract you from doing enough dps to kill it.

Electrolysis, I'm the same dude who messaged you in game about YYGamers build. I'm still wearing his build. Also strangely the most dangerous part of the fight is not the Cores IMO but Cybel and the plates that cause mobs(ads) to spawn. The ads make Cybel difficult to see, and as we all know, keeping an eye on Cybel is crucial. Also strangely, if you slay the Cores in the middle, they just wank around not causing too much angst. They also seem to be ineffective if you move constantly.

Rinse and repeat



In survival phases
Vanish to the other side of where Cybel is, and when he gets near, Smoke bomb and vanish to the other side, rinse and repeat.
