Any Class Help Most Useful Element Offensively And Defensively?

Title, I've been hearing thunder is it?

 

I would say thunder for offense, but when it comes to defense, none are really better than the other, it depends on how you want to use it and which kind of mob you're fighting

 

For burst damage it definetly is Thunder hands down, you can give a lot of damage, really quickly but then you're shit outta luck if you can't regen mana or take the hits. That's why Fire and Thunder Combo really well, or even Thnder and Water. Defensively I don't know, it depends on the mob you're fighting like @SuperPiggeh said, but most mobs do neutral damage, so Fire.

 

yes, fire is generally the most defensive (most fire items are tailored towards being a tank and fire is affected by defense)

powder wise, earth can be "stronger" than thunder

a. rage is much better than killstreak

b. earth powders give more neutral conversion at the trade of "raw" damage

for example, here's stinger with earth and stinger with thunder powders. each build has its respective sanctuary

however, if you have enough powder slots to completely convert the neutral damage into an element, then thunder is stronger. (4 powder slots is enough)

also, this is just a comparison of powders. the different weapons and armor also have a large factor in determining your damage.
