I have a question, if you’re advertising an unidentified Pisces and it turns out to be a cancer (cancer is apparently worth more than Pisces nowadays), does the buyer have to return it even if they want to keep it?

If they don't want a refund, they can keep. Misidentifying an unided item is on you.

If an unidentified item that is advertised wrongly is sold the seller must give a full refund or receive a permanent ban.

Based on this, I would guess that the answer is yes.

Although, if both the buyer and seller are happy with the outcome (as in you want to keep the Cancer), then one option would be to simply not tell anyone about how you were "scammed".

The trade has to be undone. I recommend you change your method because clearly it doesn’t work.

Well you’re advertising your item as a Pisces and it turns out to be a Cancer, so obviously you’re doing something wrong. Why did you think it was a Pisces anyway?

No. I was just asking. Also, I have 2 Pisces and a Cancer in my shop, all 3 unidentified. So I was just asking in case I sell the wrong one.

Okay. But how do you know if they’re Pisces or Cancer? Also, Aphotic exists. So even if you use the id cost method to determine it’s a Cancer it still can be an Aphotic, iirc.

You can use the search function to find out what an unidentified item is. From that I know that I have no aphotics (I sold them all off), 2 Pisces (or Piscii) and 1 Cancer (which I only just realised existed in my bank).
