Archer/Hunter Help New Bows

heeellllo, yes im back, i was rly busy for a while. Anyways, ive noticed big buffa with gmo and ignis but sadly a nerf on az. Just wondering which mythic bow remains the strongest.



















Depressing bow needs a nerf tbh, it deals too much dmg

 

There is no real strongest mythic bow. We are now at a point where it is all balanced out pretty much. Except for Grandmother, which is very strong and needs a slight nerf.

 

I guess u r right. It used to be strati that completely DOMINATED archer mythics and az before it was heavily nerfed. Then spring came and reigned champ until the new mythics came in. There was a lot of debate around divzer but finally ppl realized that wynnctaft does not equal damage. Now with the heavy buff around hp regen added onto the recent ignis buff and gmo made those two op af. But one thing still makes me doubt that all bows r equal. Since if all bows r equal, then why r their costs different?

 

some people dont realize that wynncraft doesnt equal tank either, id honestly rather play damage on archer

still one of the worst bows
if you ask me, its strati, spring or divzer as best

 

top 3 bows i’d say are 3. gma 2. spring 1. div
strati is here because it’s fun and so you don’t quit
ignis has no downsides but it’s not fantastic
az is just bad now
freedom is good but outshined by the three I said

and the most viable survivable build only has 38k arrow storms

 

if by 'strong' u mean highest damage then div (17k+) > gma (16k) > freedom = spring (13-14k) > strati = ignis(11-12k) > az (10k) (parentheses numbers are bomb damages with an endgame build)

but if i placed them in over-all strength order focusing on all the stats around them the order would be this
1. strati: immortality while still having decent bombs
2. gma: better than divzer. comparable damage with -hpr being counterable or you can just use it for rage
3. freedom/spring: theyre the same bow really. standard damage bows with no speciality to them
3.5 ignis: a bit lower damage than the above two and it doesnt come with mana. survivability-wise it trumps div so fucking hard so ill place it here despite way lower damage
4. div: gma but you cant build away the downside, agility being maybe the second most important stat for archer after int
az: not meant for endgame anyway

 

Cool. What about ignis? It has the same dps as spring after the buff but wayyy more tankier. It can achieve the same dmg as spring without being glassy at all. Idk which one is better since my old spring build is trash now compared to a new ignis build i made ;-;

Cool. But just saying, after the buff ignis has basically the same dps as spring. I think one of them might be stronger by like 11 or smth. So yea, basically the same. I get u get curse and mana with spring but if u look at ignis’ stats... it literally screams QIRA in ur face XD

 

lets take these builds for comparison: ignis & spring
focus on the damages: spring build has 2 less mr which is made up perfectly by the additional int, meaning both builds can spam at the same speed. spring already gets 2k better average on bombs and the damage boost from curse is greater than courage's

the spring build is low on mana so if u wanna improve the ignis build lemme just say that by adding mana onto spring you get more spell casts which will lock it as the higher dps weapon

 

ignis doesn't have the same dps as spring

but anyway, madkurre's explanation only focused on damage, but he didn't really talk about the defense, which i'm about to do

if you look at madkurre's builds, then at first, ignis looks significantly more tanky.

-ignis has 140 def, 13k hp
-spring has 40 def, 40 agi, 10k hp

if you turn that into percentages, it turns into this:
-ignis blocks about 40% neutral damage, 13khp
-spring blocks about 20% neutral damage, 10khp

in terms of neutral defense, ignis > spring

if you now look at the elemental defenses, spring actually beats ignis
ignis has unecessarily high fire defense and good earth defense, ignis has 3k more hp
spring has high water defense, good fire defense, some air defense, some earth defense, spring also blocks 30% of all elemental defense.

spring's raw elemental defenses are greater than that of ignis. the 3k hp cancel's out the 30% dodge (30% of about 10k = 3k hp). if you think about it, the dodge is better than the health because the dodge will always be active. whereas with 3k hp, it only makes a difference while you are over 10k hp

in terms of elemental defense, spring > ignis

Edit: In hindsight, the way I presented the information sort of suggested that Ignis was bad, which it isn't. It's a pretty good bow but a lot of the other Mythics Bows are super powerful.

 

I guess. Spring rly is a good bow. But honestly i think now all the mythics bows r FINALLY balanced ty selvut :v i guess it rly depends on ur play style to determine which bow is best
