Alright, so ive tried to hunt this down via searching both here and google lol.

what does the anvil sound signify?????

i've found two so far, one with a skeleton in a hut and another in a cave in the pigmen ravine.

It just loops a couple hits here and there but i dont see any switches or buttons or anything to signify anything special... unless it has something to do with the [??? hunt] which i dont know anything about other then a brief glance at it in the forums lol.

The anvil sound plays when you either run out of mana for spells, or you can't tp to a certain spot as mage. It also plays when someone cancels a trade. It's mostly used as GUI sound effects in wynn tho. I'm not sure if any mobs have the sound effect.

It's probably a sound that a nearby mob uses

I think that's just sounds that certain mobs make. The thing in the pigmen ravine was actually above that cave, it's a broken sword mob. (I'm pretty sure)

Since no one mentioned the skeleton yet, the anvil sound is a reference to the song "spooky Scary Skeletons". I guess the noise is meant to sound like someone singing "spoo-ky scar-y skel-et-tons" in some mechanical voice but that's a very far stretch.

The anvil sound doesn't signify anything in particular. It's just one of the many sound effects minecraft offers that Wynncraft has to make use of.

Ah. I couldn't find a skeleton so that's why I thought it may have been something else.

I think when you hit it it makes a high-pitched anvil sound, and on death it's a high-pitched iron golem death sound.
