If you want the powder specials and/or need more elemental defense, yes, absolutely. Which tier depends on how much you want to invest. You have to decide if the difference in +elemental defenses and power of the specials is worth the higher cost/rarity of higher tiers.

Just in case you ask later about what each powder special does the fire one gives you bonus fire damage as you take more damage, the water one gives you more water damage the more mana you use, the air one gradually gives more air damage overtime if you're close enough to a mob but if you go to far away or take damage it resets, the earth one gives more earth damage the lower the hp you are at, and last the thunder one gives you more thunder damage the more mobs you kill

Then I'm confused since what you just said is what I just said
If something hits you you're still technically taking damage even if it's very little to the point where you don't even see your hp drop by 1

    Damage taken =/= hit taken

if it relies on taking a hit then no matter how much damage it does (0-9001 or whatever) then you get +1% fire dmg

if it relies on dmg taken then thats a diff story

Edit: my fat fingers cant tollerate these goddamn mobile keyboards

Oh I see what you're saying now what I meant in the original comment is whenever you take damage it increases a.k.a per hit not how much damage you take lol

If you ask me, don't put any powders onto your armor until you get your "final" build (endgame). The tier sort of depends on the circumstances.

-If I'm using the powders to give myself all positive Elemental Defenses, I usually put in just enough powders to make everything positive. In this build https://wynndata.tk/s/gO9Tjf I used just enough Earth and Fire powders to make everything positive. Also, the air powder special is pretty useless IMO (but that's not the main reason).

-If the powders are used to make your damage stupidly high (like on Grandmother builds), then use T6 powders. Unlikes with Elemental Defenses where you usually only get like 8 extra defense per extra tier on normal builds, the increased effect makes a pretty significant difference (less so on rage though IMO)

-If you're a super tank, then use T6 powders. You probably have high Elemental Defense %, so the effects of your powders are magnified.

I don't put any powders onto my armors, so yeah, if you ask me, i would say "no". And remember that's my opinion.
