As you know from following the Featured Wynncraftian, the right people are never interviewed.
We believe it's high-time to highlight the people who have actually had an impact on the community,
so I took matters into my own hands and interviewed the man and myth himself, @oculism jr​

Welcome to the featured buffoon nOOb! Let's start at the beginning. How did you happen upon wynncraft?

Back in 2013 I was playing on The Hive with my brother who told me about this big RPG server called Wynncraft. He gave me the IP and we spent an hour playing. I got to level 16 before him and we both began to camp swarms the next day. Over the course of the next month or two I spent a lot of time camping swarms, doing quests, and I was soon lvl 50.

After this I left for about a year and returned during Gavel. I was confused at all the cool new stuff that had happened, none of my weapons worked, all of my armor looked weird, and there were a lot of quests. Around lvl 59 I was mad at being stuck at this level forever and I soon took off and left again.

2016 rolled around and I tried to come back, but the texture pack wouldn't work and everything looked like crap. So I left again.
2017 rolled around, this time the texture pack worked, and I got back into the game. I got to level 60 a day later, then the next day I really shot forward. In 9 hours I went from lvl 61 to lvl 71. I played for a long while with a few of my friends and finally got into the Temple of Legends.
From here, I stayed on wynncraft, I got 2 lvl 100s, soloed qira, did everything in the game that I could, and got my hands on a few mythics. Soon I was playing every single day and I didn't know where to stop. I explored lore, I killed bosses, I uncovered secrets, I made theories on lore, and I did everything in between.

And here I am.

Interesting! It seems that many people find Wynncraft through friends or siblings. Now, speaking of lore, many of us have seen (and had a good laugh at) your threads explaining things around Wynncraft in the shittiest way possible. Where did the idea to make those threads come from? What motivates you to continue making them?

I was reading a thread about Dern and all of it's lore, of course I understood it but I remembered the first time I got into Wynncraft's lore and I knew nothing, I had no idea where to find anything, and there were wasn't something such as "Grand Library of Wynncraft Lore" where you could find anything you ever so wanted to know. I was hoping that somewhere there was something that would make the process of lore learning way easier. A few years later, I'm thinking about this, a veteran lore junky, and I start to think about making a half shitpost; half informative thread. I found a bad pixel art website and I made sure to include whatever I felt was needed. I explained it bluntly, I gave a badly drawn picture to describe what I was saying, and soon my masterpiece was finished.

The first thread got over 70 likes, a reply from the bovine cow himself, and people telling me they wanted more of this. Also I was compared to bill wurtz

Next I did fruma, keeping the art simple and bad, as always. Then came Corkus, where I made a terrible drawing of a duckman, Wynn was a trickier process since it was so explored I didn't know what and where to add stuff. So I split it into 4 parts.

I said I'd wait until 1.18 to do gavel, but I got tired of waiting and just did it anyway.


What motivates me to do more of these?

First I must become the shitposting god and surpass even the great @YYGAYMER . Secondly people are telling me that these threads are better than the long overstuffed lore threads. So that's always good.

You mentioned that you want to become the shitposting god. What other goals do you have that revolve around Wynncraft and/or shitposting?
Perhaps something about kidnapping a certain kind of someone? *thOnking*

I'll probably just make a few meme threads, some everyday shitposts. Try and find some good quality material and work from there. I doub't I'll ever be a shitposting god but I can sure try.

For wynncraft goals... Soloing Legendary Island, touching every mythic in the game, and getting level 1010 are definitely my highest. Becoming a CT is a secondary goal, not really something I really want to accomplish, but if I can accomplish that, it would be cool.
