I'll start off by posting the short build link here:

    https://wynndata.tk/s/kDjSRP

This build is intended for PvB. It can solo LI on just HP pots (not 100% reliable for Cybel, but not terrible). This build can also be used for guild wars, however there are better alternatives. While HP pots are not necessary for wars if played right, It took me 15 minutes to solo a territory defended with a full set of lvl 100 mobs (snipers, bishops, rangers, mercenaries, witches, clerics, honour guards).

Just note, if you wish to fight Cybel with this build, you will need a secondary. I highly recommend Gale's Force.

If you wish to read to full explanation, which I really REALLY suggest you do before you start criticizing my build, click the spoiler below.

Ignis archer is a terrible, lame-ass excuse of a tank.

It really is, and people realize it. In fact, there's a whole bow out there with the intention of giving you -14718374 agility so you can't dodge any attacks, which makes it so glassy because no matter how much HP and defenses you stuff into your build, you'll probably die using it.

But, there's this other bow, intended to turn you into a tank! One bow takes away all of your dodge chance and makes you glassy, with the common knowledge that defense archer is awful, and another bow that intends to encourage this hopeless playstyle.

How do you use this bow? It's simple, don't try to use this bow as a tank item.

What I had decided to create was an Ignis build that combined the best, most suitable elements of Archer, while attempting to infuse it with the benefits that Ignis gives. This resulted in a simple concept: Fire-air archer. A high mobility Archer with powerful defenses.

And, I got what I wanted. I made an archer build with 100 agility, over 14.5k HP, 120+ defenses, and not the worst elemental defenses I've seen. Only 5/4 mana regen optimally, but after testing, I doubt you'll need more.

The first thing you're thinking, and I know it, is this:
    Ignis Bomb.png
"Oh my god that damage is trash!"

"My Grandmother build's average is double of this! What is this piece of garbage?!"

I know. By Archer standards, this build can't do damage. Hell, it's surpassed by many endgame legendaries. But, I'll tell you that Bomb Arrow is one of the spells I use the least when I do fights with this bow.

If you plan to use this build, or want to attempt it, you may need to make changes as to how you play Archer. Specifically, you will rely on these two spells:

    Ignis Playstyle.png

    Especially arrow storm.

Recently, arrow storm's damage was doubled overall. So, what you're looking at is actually only half of the damage you're actually capable of doing with one arrow storm on this build.

In most builds, and even before this mad buff, using arrow storm is a great way to deal unrealistic amounts of damage in the shortest time possible. However, it's also an extremely risky tactic: In your average archer build, the risk of having an opponent sneak a powerful attack in is much higher, and in many cases fatal.

With this Ignis build, you will not do enough DPS to be able to kill enemies in a short amount of time with Bomb Arrow alone. I've set this build up specifically for use in close quarters. You are tanky and agile enough to be able to get up close and personal to mobs, without taking much penalty. So you must, and I mean must, abuse arrow storm as much as you can.

Arrow shield is another spell I use frequently, due to its ability to be able to knock mobs back into walls, and stun them, allowing me to deal damage without risking any consequences.

This change of playstyle, and using archer as a highly close ranged assassin, allowed me to do incredible DPS, while having the defenses and agility to back me up so I wouldn't necessarily die.

However, even so, if your agility does get penetrated, you WILL take damage. This is tank archer's inferiority coming into play. You will still take over 2k damage from most boss attacks with this build. That is why I have the agility, so you don't have to take many hits, as you would die otherwise. Ignis does a fair job of softening up blows when they hit you, but alone it is not enough.

Ignis is not a tank bow, but it can definitely make you harder to kill.

If you're making your own Ignis build, don't bother giving a damn about damage. Thanks to the arrow storm buff, you can do incredible amounts of damage no matter how low it may appear. Instead, you should focus on agility and mobility. Having high walkspeed and agility will not only allow you to avoid most hits, since archer is not capable of taking them well, but also make good use of your HPR. As long as you don't get hit for (5?) seconds, your HPR will activate, and you'll regain some HP you may have lost in combat. This is another reason as to why you want a very high agility count, to use your HPR to the best extent.

I was able to run through LI with just HP pots (no elem pots). However, a secondary bow will be necessary to overcome Cybel. I recommend Gale's Force, which has fair damage and gives you great walkspeed, which is needed against Cybel. I also do not guarantee 100% that you will pass through the Cybel stage, as its mostly about luck. However, during many of the times I tested, I was able to go through it fine on just HP pots.

    Conclusion

Fire archer is real difficult. Attempting to play archer as a damage-absorbing, full on HP and defense tank will leave you truly disappointed, as you will not be able to overcome all the damage thrown at you, and end up facing a truly frustrating death. However, Ignis gives too much to be ignored. It has the lowest requirement of any mythic bow in the game, no debuffs, 3k health, and great HPR. Using Ignis in an air-build, it not only took advantage of archer's best traits, but also made the best use of Ignis's HPR, and compensated for tank archer's overall inferiority. The damage sucks, but archer has the highest DPS in the game, so it really doesn't matter in a practical sense.

Overall, this build is great, and I actually really like it. It definitely may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I hope that this sheds some light on the capabilities of a bow that I thought was extremely useless.

tl:dr: Arrow storm and an absolutely bitchin agility count are all you need to play this bow effectively.

Yeah, its pretty slow. I would much rather use something else for wars, although its nice to know that this build can solo. Although, if you are willing to use this build for wars, I'd definitely recommend an intel pot and maybe a couple of mana ones because you'll want to deal more damage.
