Question For Developers And Community!

Hey, it's TNG.

Judging from the title, you may be startled but this is simply a light-hearted and thought-provoking question aimed towards the Wynncraft staff (but feel free to express your thoughts as well!).

Here is my question:

If you had literally all the time and money in the world to work on Wynncraft, what would it look like?

OR

What would YOUR version of Wynncraft look like? (Name, Lore, Features, and etc.)

For example, would you have turned it into a separate game or keep it as a Minecraft server? If it were to be a were to be a full-fledged game (assuming that it's still an MMORPG and the lore is still the same) how would it differ from the Minecraft version? Heck, would you change the lore? If so, what parts would you change?

Personally, I would be interested in knowing what "Wynncraft" would be named if it were not a Minecraft server. Essentially, the general theme of my questions revolves around how it would change which means you don't necessarily have to answer all the questions I've listed, but more so go in-depth with other related questions.

I would hire some people to develop it and do nothing myself. They take it where they want to go.

 

i’d pay people billions to do whatever I want them to do, as long as they do it
then i’d get the creator of hypixel and all other popular servers to delete their servers until wynncraft is the only one left
then i’d get the highest quality server hosting to host Wynncraft on
and idgaf about the content, it’s the only way people can play multiplayer minecraft now so they’ll have to do it
for all you know i may make Tower of Amnesia a fetch quest where you have to get an ahmsord scroll keheheheh
and i’d make eye of the storm start in rymek and end in the deepest corner of molten heights
fuck cares what shit content it is, people will have to play it for multiplayer interaction




In all seriousness I’d get some professional writer to rewrite the lore and shit, and I’d remake the entire game from scratch. People will still keep their shit, but all content would change. I’d still keep the dev team and ct on the list, but this time the ct gets paid, and also you have an age limit to be a mod (most mods now are mature and can deal with situations well but if it becomes paid some people may abuse it and ban people for fun and still get paid billions). As you get to the endgame your objective 离题 until the lore is about some shit book and becoming a pirate queen instead of fighting corruption and shit. So yeah, no matter how Long it takes, I’ll rewrite the entire lore and remake the entire map.

then after that i’ll buy minecraft and rename it to Wynncraft, then the entire thing , all of minecraft, will now be an mmorpg. it’ll take a while though no matter how much money, as to have enough content to support such a wide audience, i’d have to increase the map size and content by about 10 times.

That's an interesting take, I like it! You mention a lot that you want to rewrite the lore, what makes you want to do that? What parts of the lore don't you like so far? Also, assuming that you have all of the money in the world to make Wynncraft, what makes you want to still keep it on Minecraft rather than making it its own separate game?

Okay, let's change the question up a bit for you and see whether that changes your answer. If you had all the resources to work on Wynncraft, what would YOUR version of Wynncraft look like? Like I said previously, would you turn it into another game or keep it on Minecraft? If so, why? If not, why not?

 

I’d buy minecraft and keep it on minecraft. Simple answer.
The current problem with the lore is that deviates from the original plot too much, and I somewhat dislike it for that. From fighting Corrpution in your home province to becoming a transgender Queen among a society of idiots, you literally do anything - and everything that can be milked out of this story.

 

I like that, I can agree with most of your points. If the game was coded on maybe Unity or Unreal and turned into a fully fleshed out game, would that enhance or ruin the experience of the players considering those game engines are more capable? If the lore was changed and re-written would that make players considerably happier in your opinion? Also, what features would you add into Wynncraft (housing, more pets, and etc.)?
