as stated the eye is a being that qira fled from which is why she resides in the hive, as she most likely has the power to destroy wynn, she doesnt meaning she isnt an antagonist,
what if she was trying to find a true hero which could bring down the eye
as the person in the picture identified the code, it said how they were controlled to explore the corruption, but the area which it is most likely from is dern, or the sealed off area
my speculation is that the rest of the world has been destroyed and ravaged by the eyes presumably omnipotent power, the damage of the corruption can be seen by quras avatar, being a dark figure(i think)so she may have been attacked while fleeing from the eye
maybe the character,as in us, our goal is to bring light to the corruption and save the world

she decided to decline on destroying the decay, maybe it serves a purpose and can be used to damage the eye, as the decay is most likely only contained in the light and dark forest, so maybe you must “purify”the decay into some type of weapon or spell to seal off or destroy the eye
