The Beauty Of Seavale Reef

So I never really paid any mind to this place, since it really never was in the quests until recently.
You need those darn shards for ToL. I thought that was it's only purpose and ignored it still. It was until my friends started going there for the sunken treasure that I realised that this place was actually quite beautiful. I just added some ambience music to 'enhance' it!

This was secretly just a plot to show how your computer is superior to mine wasn't it?
I will admit I do appreciate the design of most things design wise in wynncraft lol

Yeah, Wynncraft is completely stunning. I wish more would be able to enjoy it, especially those who do not play minecraft. To be honest, I forget this is all within minecraft sometimes. Yeah it's blocky, but it has a lot of charm. They made a master-piece, even though it's not flawless (We all can agree on that lmao)

 

It doesn't look aabeautiful as you're probably pissed off to find these random ass items

I mean I've gotten over the fact that they made ToL even more annoying since I've done it around 6 times? I just sigh and do as I am asked by Daddy Grian and Papi Salted.

I expected one of the new C418 tracks, but this is cool too! That'll look even better once 1.13 comes to Wynn!

 

It’s a shame though that they’ve never used any new features since 1.8...

 

Well yeah, they should drop 1.8, it's just hard I guess. But I still think 1.8 support will drop in less than a year. Once it is, it should be really easy to drop 1.9 as well, as there was barely any changes from 1.9 to 1.10. 1.10 to 1.11 might also be easy, even though they changed some stuff (renaming mobs for example)
Then 1.12 basically added new blocks

1.13 on the other hand is probably going to be a lot more complicated, as they basically recoded a lot of things. I don't know if we'll see 1.13 features anytime soon

 

There was only 3 damage ticks in the beginning.. Didn't really wanna redo it because I didn't wanna race against Night time

 

Well there’s got to be some reason bc other servers like Hypixel do it. Besides coding, I heard that it’s because of the combat system of 1.9+, but that doesn’t apply to Wynncraft bc ours is completely separate from Vanilla anyway.

 

I don't think the combat update has anything to do with this, it's just the way Mojang changed stuff that makes porting hard I believe. I'm no coder, but that's what I understood based on multiple server
If anything, maybe they chose to stay in 1.8 to get more players at first because some peeps are just triggered about 1.9+

They're able to pull off all these compatible versions like Hypixel, but their code is still based on 1.8 or something like that

 

Yeah, idk. I’m no coder. I would think it would be way harder and complicated to be compatible with 5 versions of the game. If it wasn’t the combat system, then why were people against 1.9 in the first place?

 

They do it so that other players can still play. If they have features from a higher version, like including blocks that were added in a higher version, it would bug out for people on lower versions since those blocks shouldn’t be added yet..

Either way I would love to see a wynncraft with 1.13... I don’t really see why supporting multiple versions is important, if having features from a higher version helps enhance gameplay

 

AFAIK they have used new blocks, they just look like older blocks in older versions. (ie concrete becomes stained clay)

 

They did that once with 1.7-1.8 and the different stone types I believe yeah. Where's the concrete in game though?

 

I understand that, I’m asking why people want the server to stay compatible. Sure some people are still salty about 1.9 and Wynncraft isn’t the only server people play, but they can easily switch versions. My main gripe about the server staying compatible is that they can’t use any new features, which extremely limits the mechanics, gameplay, and builds of the server.
