    I’m confused as to what exactly makes higher tier loot chests better. I always find more/better loot in them, but I don’t understand what exactly the tier of the chest affects.

    Pretty sure the tier affects the rate that items spawn in them, as well as the chance for items to be better tiers

    Adding onto this accessories can only be found as loot from chests in t3-t4 chests as well as any loot exclusive gear

    You shouldn't be skipping tier I's and II's though, those can still carry some good loot.

    Tier 1 loot chests have emeralds, health potions, and armor.
    Tier 2 loot chests have mana potions added to the mix.
    Tier 3 loot chests have accessories, loot-exclusive armor and weapons, and stat potions as well.
    Tier 4 loot chests (I think) have XP boost potions as well as everything else.

    Don't skip over T1 and T2 chests since you can find some excellent loot in those.
