Best Bow And Build To Use To Fight Bob?

The best bow with neutral damage I have right now is Clairvoyance. Any tricks and tips for fighting bob? Thanks :)

 

Move this to class builds, but if you can fight bob the best bow with neutral damage is heracul. Also its powerful enough to penetrate elemental defenses of your level.

Also bob doesnt need neutral damage like everybody thinks, he can be beaten with any weapon. I beat him with a maelstrom at lvl 76.

 

Along with these two you can also use CWB (However it does require you to grind Corrupted Decrepit)

 

And for tips against bob:

Elemental defenses dont matter against him, he deals neutral damage. Just dont get hit by the swords melee if you have bad elemental defenses.
Kill his swords before him, they can be very annoying.
Arrow storm always up.
Use bomb to kill his swords (preferably hit the bomb between him and the swords so it deals dmg to both)
Use arrow storm for Bob himself.
Keep arrow shield up and run away from him while arrow storming him. but be careful not to get hit by the multihit sword behind you.
I suggest you bring friends, although it is not necessary. Its just annying to die once and then need to assemble a new 3 man team just to get inside the tomb.
Dont get cornered when he charges his spell (charge) because if he hits you he deals serious damage.

I put in Maelstrom, but yes Clairvoyance works too.

If you're level 75, you can use the bow from the Dernel Jungle Tribal Shop (Olit ___). It gives you 1000 hp (more like 1500 if you factor in Maelstrom's -HP) and has more powder slots, which is neat. In addition, you can use the Royal Amulets (use Blazing or Stormy) from Wynn Excavation Site D.

With extra skill points, try to reach 94 intelligence for your arrow bombs (3 mana). After that, reach as high as possible def/agi (try to keep them both at the same amount).



With Bob, you need to be aware of his spell casting. Right before he's about to finish casting his spell, I suggest using escape. His charge hurts quite a lot and he can easily close the distance between him and you.

Bob's minions hurt a LOT more than the CoW's minions. If I remember correctly, they do the same amount of damage as Bob himself. I suggest using Third Person Mode to be aware of your surroundings.

You should probably bring Stat Potions. Any of the stats are pretty good. Defense and Agility are both great (HP boost and Walk Speed Boost).

In my opinion, it's best just to stick with Arrow Bomb because it's a lot safer, it slows Bob, and it will eventually kill his minions.

I mean, the level 75 defense potions are actually the weakest for their level IMO.
if you look at the defense pots as an example, the difference between the different level is as follows: 80, 120, 320, 700, 550, 1520, 2560. For the most part, the hp increments get bigger and bigger, but the level 65-75 only changes by 550, whereas level 55-65 changes by 700.

Although, even 1880 hp is still strong af

Well if you actually want a fair comparison you'd also need to compare it with increase in health given by equipment.

~85 = ~1800
~75 = ~1280
~65 = ~900
~55 = ~600

too lazy to do the rest, but the difference between 55->65 is 300, difference between 65->75 = 380, or at least more than 300

 

These are good tips, but you should not prioritize on making a build with that 94 intelligence. You do not need it and it doesnt do a big difference anyway.

Yes, using third person mode will help you see the minions but if you're not used to it, dont use it. It isn't necessary.

The only pots you should bring (in my opinion) if you even bring pots (disgusting pots) are intelligence and agility. Defense doesnt make a big difference, archer has -40% damage resistance so while more health can be useful, it isn't necessary and is just an option if you want to survive one hit more than without it. As an archer you should prioritize on not getting hit so defense isnt that important.

Arrow bomb takes easily down your mana and FAST if you use it a lot. Arrow storm is a lot safer because of the knockback and the duration and its low mana usage. You should use arrow bomb only when bob is in a corner and you're far away or to kill his minions.

But do remember these tips that you have been given are just tips, you dant have to follow all of them and strictly, a boss battle is easiest when you're comfortable in it.
