Community Event Remaking Songs But Not Terribly

Hey, let's talk music. Some of the songs in the soundtrack are really outdated, including some of mine, and with there being less and less new areas to make music for, I want to go back and improve some older songs.

Yes I tried this with the Detlas theme
Yes it was terrible
Yes I didn't talk to you guys about it

But that's why I made this thread. I want your guys' thoughts on which songs should be updated, and when I do change them, I'm going to show you guys beforehand so we can all be generally happy with the end product.

TO CLARIFY I DON'T MEAN COMPLETELY REMAKING THEM FROM THE GROUND UP, JUST TAKING WHAT'S ALREADY THERE AND MAKING IT BETTER.

• The Last Stand
• The Great Race
• The Legend Begins
• Luxury of the Cease-Fire

Ok Ik some of the songs aren’t as great as the others, ofc Stormy Seas of Epicness is the best. For me, all the beginning songs are so sentimental bc they remind me of when I first started playing, pre gavel and idk I just get super nostalgic. Basically don’t touch any very early game songs :>

 

let's just not talk about how the ragni theme has essentially no bass part then

 

I like Forest Dance, but only the one on the OST. The one in game sounds choppy and doesn't live up to the OST version. Optimizing it to sound at better, not exactly like the OST, would be fine.

For the love of god don't change epic Wynn, monument of a new land, stormy seas, or forest dance. One song I really didn t like was the corkus anthem. It just doesn't feel fitting. I feel something more fast paced, energetic and louder would be better. The swing/electro Swing genre would be perfect, but may be difficult to do with noteblocks.

 

A lot of the early game music is really good, as is quite a lot of the music.

-Detlas Theme
- Almuj Theme
- Maltic Plains Theme
- Wynn Coastal Theme

High Tide he also wrote this one, also rly old and could use improvements
Trodden-Down Paths I just think it makes the swamp sound boring

Jewel of the Desert, aka the Almuj theme. I know nothing about music, but the song reminds me of the times when I was press down on random piano keys simply for the sake of making noise, and if I played too loud my dad would come in the room and yell at me.
