Problems I Have With Hypixel

I'm pretty sure at least 99% of you know what the fuck hypixel is, if not, then you must be an alien.

Intro:
Hypixel is the biggest MC Server, has over 30 games with different game modes, lots of quests to complete for coins, pets to follow you around, a friending & party system, a free-build plot where you can go crazy with what you build, and many, many more things!

Sadly, the server sucks now-a-days because you cant really I have fun on something if... well, you aren't having fun...

Full disclosure, this is all (mostly) my opinion, if you don't think what I am saying is a good reason to think of such, you can tell me in a comment, now...

Lets get into this shit:

Toxic/Stupid Players:
The main reason I wanted to write this really, the toxic children who play this shit are the worst, now I am not saying that I'm a golden child myself, but these stupid kids of say stuff like: "E Z Noob" "lol you succ" "gg ez" "L" "L L L" "*insert more L's here" its just toxic, tells a lot about their parent(s) as well, and on the other side, you have players who don't know jack-shit about how to even play survival MC, they either don't know how to chat, (press T you fool) don't know how to play, ("how play game?") or some other third thing I can't think of right now. (I'm not good at writing this, am I?) Here are some other things that aren't really worth talkin about:
ez (kill me)
MVP++ Streamer spamers (SHUT, THE FUCK, UP!)
/L's (do people even fall for this shit anymore?)
BW rushers (ruin the game for anyone why don't you.)

Laggy Resource Packs:
Blocking Dead, Turbo Kart Racers, Smash Heroes, and a few others have SUPER FUCKING LAGGY RESOURCE PACKS! I may not lag where I enter a Smash Heroes or Turbo Kart Racers lobby, BUT I DO WHEN I JOIN A BLOCKING DEAD LOBBY! Now I am NOT saying resource packs are bad, (look at wynncraft, its amazing with it's resource pack) but they need to do something about it, its laggy as all fuck and not many people have NASA computers.

Player/Play Ratio
Remember Sky Clash? Yeah, me nither. even back before Bed Wars, Sky Wars was hypixel's most played game, and now that Bed Wars is out, a very bad ratio for people playing other games is just sad...
There COULD be a way to fix it, but it would take a lot of work just to play a single game of something.

Overall:
Hypixel is sorta in a Downward Spiral, they need to make some changes, a lot to be sure...
I would talk about the VIP/MVP 4**** & 5***** box thing, but you have to make money somehow...

 

I think this might be the most disappointing part IMO. Remember Warlords? Quakecraft? Arena? No one plays those anymore, so I can't really play them either. Quakecraft was easily my favorite game on there and its depressing that no one plays it anymore. I don't just want to play bedwars, I want to play other stuff too!

The other thing about Hypixel is that it seems like they haven't added anything massive anymore, just variations of minecraft PvP like King of the Hill and The Bridge. They haven't added something huge like Warlords in a while from what I can tell. Guess they'd rather play it safe and develop generic pvp games rather than spend resources on something that could die in a few months.

I remember when Hypixel was actually really popular with the Wynn community, plenty of people played it while they wait for Gavel. Now we all just seem disappointed in it.

 

i mean yeah this is the reason minecraft's got such a bad reputation, the community in its majority is awful and hypixel's is proof of it
about BW rushers... i cant really complain because its a tactic of the game and its allowed, but i do agree it is really annoying to see people blowing up my shit with tnt within 1 minute on the game
but eh BW is pure garbage most of the time so

your computer must be a PC-98 then, because mine is quite the potato and runs them perfectly

as someone who is disgusted by how bedwars has always about 15k players and then there is warlords and smash heroes dead, dwarves vs zombies unnoticed by everyone but the ones who knew the minigame since PMC and before, i do agree on this one, its boring to see how the cheapest and quickly made minigames are the ones who triumph over master pieces like the three i mentioned 2 lines ago


i agree in its majority, but sadly hypixel is the only big minigame network out there that is still worth a try, as mineplex is dying and its community doesnt have soft spots (like warlords and smash heroes for hypixel, the peeps there are actually pretty nice in its majority), the hive... who plays this again? cubecraft... funny enough, the only minigames i find entertaining there are exactly created by TheChunkMC, which merged with cubecraft like 1 year and half ago, bringing to cubecraft tower defence, the only minigame there i actually play sometimes, and their community is also sorta bad

tbh the only thing i ask hypixel now is both bring back the adventure lobby (which they said it wont be coming back sadly...) and doing shit with minigames that actually deserve a playerbase like Warlords and Smash Heroes

specially because they could simply make them unobtainable for normal players, if they give me boxes i want them to be something i can open, not bullshit i cant open because i didnt pay hypickle 20 bucks
i know is only cosmetics but dont give people those if they cant open them in the first place, replace the chances of those with lvl 3 boxes, or at least the possibility to turn them into magic dust without the need of opening them so they arent useless to those who didnt want to pay 150 bucks for MVP++++++++++whatever the fuck is the max rank they already added like 90 + to the MVP and VIP ranks

 

the fact that some kids are insulting others on minecraft really makes me think sometimes (i don't exactly play anymore because its very very boring)

turbo kart tries too hard to be mario kart and it fails spectacularly, both with terrible controls and the lag delays your movements, same goes with the games.

Hypixel, along with Mineplex is the EA/Activision of Minecraft servers. Constantly chasing trends and excessively charging players money and get away with it because their business practices involves manipulating kids to steal money off their mother's credit cards by placing pay walls on certain items.

 

I mean, when your community is made up of majority of kids, you can expect that behavior. I honestly don't care about this type of stuff since every other multiplayer online game in existence always have these types of players.

I don't have a perfectly good laptop to play Minecraft efficiently, but I do have a laptop that allows me to play those types of games without any lag. Could be something on your side. Also Turbo Kart Racers is bad and will always be bad.

That's because Bed Wars is just so much better. Just get rid of Sky Wars or better yet, change it up a bit.

I don't see the problem with this, as long as it doesn't affect the games.

It is super sad, you cant play ANYTHING ELSE unless it has EVERYONE ELSE playing it...
its sickening... I came for Minigames, NOT MORE FUCKIN PVP!

Tiny wittle kwids make everything worse, that goes for most thing. (look at Fnaf & Undertale, jesus…)

Only time its not dickish, is when the person you killed didn't even try with the bed defense (I rush diamonds, its what I do, either it be solos, doubles, 3 & 4, always, GOTTA GET UPGRADES!) TNT-ing fuckers should get rushed themselves.
Only time I have fun in BW is when I win or when I play with friends, solos is a rushers wet-dream.

On the contraire, my pretty good, only time I lag is when the texture pack first loads, after that, its smooth sailing, BUT I CANT PLAY BLOCKING DEAD FOR SOME REASON, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE TEXTURE BACK ON, ALL IT DOES IS KICK ME!

Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, originality is over-rated they say, only if there ISN'T 100 OTHER THINGS THAT ARE JUST THE SAME! (more like 10 but still)

I just want to see warlords popular again

 

The problem with the server is not at all the server itself, nor is it exactly the staff, it's more so the lack of active staff and the incredibly loose hack detection plugins they have. Now I will say that the server has without a doubt one of the best plugins for detecting hackers out of almost every server I have ever seen, however it seems to not at all be frequently updated and the staff (those that are actively working) seem very unresponsive to reports, as well as being too reluctant to actually do anything about proven hackers. There are many times in which friends and I play a game or two (more correctly up to twenty, addiction is bad) of bedwars, which makes us run into a number of hackers that should be too many for a server of it's caliber.

 

Of course warlords would be popular with the Wynn folk, its literally Wynn PvP actually made balanced (somewhat). I’m still an avid Warlords player, and on the weekend you can still get some games, albeit it always being with tha same guys.

 

I always felt like the unopenable boxes were a really smart idea from a marketing standpoint, although it's very unfulfilling to get one when you're not able to open it.
I mostly play Hypixel with friends, and we don't care about the community, to be fair we don't even interact with it and in all my Hypickle experience I haven't even seen that much toxicity. Although I'm sure that if I start playing solo, I will instantly regret it (what does "L" mean?)...
I don't play it that much anymore, but I'm always having some fun when I do. It's still a bummer for me how they still use old combat mechanics (looking at you the pit game thing, you hurt my hand so badly), that's why I also love destroying people on Cubecraft

I used to play hypixel a lot, but it has travaled a toxic road for a LONG time. They made a blantent rip off of fortnite to try to cash in on the popularity. It was not very popular, instead of just giving the game the boot, they recalled it and are currently reworking it. The community is a mixture of mvp++ who managed to steal mom's credit card, kiddies brought there because there favorate youtuber played one game on the server a million years ago, or tryhards so bad it almost gives league of legends a run for its money. The new games are just crappy pvp games. The good ones are shoved into an arcade and never touched again.

However, some of the older games still have somewhat of a player base. My favorate game there, tnt wizards, has 20 people on at all time. But the problem is that one of the classes can make the game unplayable because its just so broken. This is something that has been going on for well over a year. This is a problem that the player base has been fairly vocal about and the devs have not even touched it. The team puts all there time into crappy new games instead of re-working older ones that could bring in a lot more players.

Honestly I just play smash heroes on high pickle usually and when I do play other games it's with other people and we don't give a shit about actually winning so we just mess around and have fun lol

 

I always get confused when other ppl destroy me in pvp and say "L"

What does it actually mean? Does anybody know?

 

"L" itself I think just means that you lost or something idk
but we call those people sore winners/tryhards
