The school can't do anything; the original post states it's a district-wide issue.
Additionally, if your post was referring to the district as a whole, what makes you think they are legally obliged to listen?

Why not ban schools so this can’t happen, then with the extra money we can stop the us being like trillions of dollars in debt

 

I like how blind people are to these situations.

When someone REALLY wants to do something, it is difficult to stop them. Instead of stopping the school shootings and other school violence, why don't we stop what causes them? If schools were places where students would feel safe, secure, and happy, this should theoretically stop school violence. Instead, people are not thinking deeply enough and simply arriving at the first solution that they think of. Hell, if your school doesn't want kids bringing guns and shit, a security checkpoint outside school makes more sense.

If you wanna know why society is falling apart, look to these dumbasses in the system.

 

To be "fair", implementation of a full-on security system would probably be more costly for the schools. The clear backpack solution is probably the "best" solution that doesn't cost the schools and can be enforced. Basically, less dumbassery, more penny-pinching

Without pulling politics into the pot, I can see where the idea on paper made quite a bit of sense to make, however there comes a time where your bag will most likely have personal and private items within, that you would rather others not be aware of you having. Plus it makes it that much easier for thieves to know which bags are stacked with valuables and which aren't, which unfortunately due to the current times of students bringing electronics and other valuables, such a safety hazard is unreal. I mean, even still, at the school that I graduated from there were times when another student would not even have the courtesy of waiting for you to put your bag down, they would try to grab and run, then if that failed would either abandon their attempt or straight up fight for the item.

 

Or y'all can have some better gun laws
