Anime Recomendations

lol wise of you to start after exams (or else you'll probably fail them xD)

 

All I really watch is Fooly Cooly and Space Dandy, and I have no regrets.

 

Try "jojo's bizzare adventure".

I would recomend to watch gintama, but you need to know too many anime, manga, and japanese reffrences. If you were to watch it now you wouldn't understand a thing.

 

I would recommend Fairy Tail. It's like a fantasy world with magic and a lot of character development, and it's pretty funny as well. If you decide to watch it, season 1 is just Fairy Tail (2012), and you can watch everything on kissanime with subs or English dub :) (google it)

 

How can you not like romance?!?!

My favourite anime are ones with a secretly overpowered main character, and a romance subplot.

The good and slightly weird shit

- Made in Abyss, Anime of the year for last year, follows the tale of 2 children going down a death hole filled with monsters. Depression and a lot of oh god what is that insues

- Code Geass. Some Edgelord attempts to overthrow the U.S. now controlled by Hitler in giant mech suits. Amazing-ness ensues. Also some mild random weeeirrrddd stuff occurs in S2, you can technically stop watching after season 1, since season 2 is bad, but the ending to season 2 is good :/

- Kimi No Na Wa [Best Anime movie ever] Follows the tale of 2 people with body-swapping also romance. Sounds generic? Sure. You wrong boi


JUST LOOK HOW PRETTY IT IS AGHHHHHH

Also the music is INSANE


- Konosuba is balls to the walls hilarious as well I think someone else explained

- Hinamatsuri is also hilarious. A psychic murder machine girl lands into a mafia members house, and the mafia dude ends up being a shit hilarious dad as he takes care of her. Hilarious antics and wholesome depression occurs

- Future Diary is good as well, a bit... gory..


Also anything made by trigger is fucking amazing but also really weird. Hold off on Kill La Kill until you are ready for the anime that saved anime


I also have sad anime but you gotta prepare yourself for that...

- Loli Hitler leads Geramny in WW1 with magic!
- One anime consisting of only Child nudity and Bloody body explosions!
- One anime explaining how the result of time travel can only be depression [Anyone who thinks Mayuri is best girl is a beta]
- The masterpiece that saved anime. Eromanga Sensei. Watch now.

Aditional tips:

Any horror anime = bad anime
Any Isekai anime = bad anime except for Re:Zero and Konosuba and a few others
Anything with the words "SAO" "GGO" "Produced by A1 Pictures" is to be avoided

It's good but not the second coming of Jesus. Ghibli isn't jesus-inkarnate, that belongs to SAO

The way I find good stuff is to go to MAL and look at the top reviews for an anime. They usually consist of
1. The one dude who likes it and gets upvoted because all idiots like it
2. The one dude who is really critical of everything and gives it a 3
3. The one dude who is moderate and gives it like a 6

Combining all 3 you can see all the pros and cons and see if you like it. The overall rating is also ok. Most animes are all above a 7 though so it's hard to tell by that alone

 

Isn't SAO though controversial? I think I made a thread about it, and people were bashing on the show. I mean it's fine of course if you like it, I just think others might not. Unless if you're not referencing Sword Art Online.

nichijou - hilarious, over-the-top everyday life
love live - (do i need to explain why i put this here?)
mha - new take on the classic action genre
yuru camp - easy to binge, feelgood
assassination classroom - kids try to kill their alien teacher
re:creators - anime irl
k-on! - 4 girls, one music club
