[d&d] The Fall Of A City [8/8]

I store my grimoire and take the Encyclopedia, flipping through it.
“So, what, it’s just kinda useless until we encounter the thing you documented?”

 

"Hmm... I don't know quite what's been used to obscure it, but it seems like surviving an encounter with something in the book reveals its relevant page."

 

"I guess so."
She searches through the pins and frantically hides certain ones in her pouch. She takes the photo album too.
I added the book to the folder, by the way.

"Yeah, I hope the information helps. I wrote it a while ago, so it may not be as up-to-date as I'd like it to be."

 

I try and catch a glance at the ones she hides, before setting the book back on the table and finding a wall to sit up against.

 

The pins and patches she hides are shades of pink, red, and black. Most have the same "x_x" logo as the cap. After getting everything together, she crouches down before pulling out the photo album and flipping through it.

 

I give a half-caring peek at the album before taking my book out and sifting through it.

 

The photos are of Pinky at different locations with various other people you don’t recognize.

 

I just decide to pay attention to my own book.

 

She just kinda passes out while looking through it.

 

Keeping in mind that I can’t sleep, I mind my own business.

-You no longer need to sleep and can't be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as reading your Book of Shadows and keeping watch.

Also, notifs broke, what did I miss? I was on page 69 or something.

 

The party defeated flying things and golem, gained 1,821 xp. Since the last attack knocked a bird on top of a nearby roof, Rikane went up to investigate and was met with a very spooky hooded giant. A mask with a screen depicting an eye covered their face and they wore all black military grade gear, including ballistic armor. The party members leave after the thing tells them to back off the bird and they kick the bird off the roof and onto a car right after this, making the alarm sound.

Right now the party members are resting and sleeping in the bunker (unless someone says otherwise). If you're all ready and want to long rest, then I'll continue.

 

Alright. Got it.

 

I added the XP to Billy-Will, and did his long rest
