3 way synergy here with sizzling+heph+nether's scar

2 items i don't see very much and i don't know why are sizzling shawl and nether's scar.

sizzling shawl gives 47% fire spell and melee, with 260 raw spell.
that's more overall spell than dark channeler.
with all of that, i have no idea why i never see it used. heph goes well with this, both neutralizing the thunder defense and -hpr.

meanwhile, nether's scar gives quite a large 3700 hp. it also has large amounts of def and dex bonus.
but it's most notable feature is the 150% hpr. it combos amazingly well with heph, having one of it's defenses neutralized and not needing to be worried about, as well as boosting a large amount of raw hpr.

as you can tell this is not a spellspam build, it is a regen-tank build with slight damage focus
not every build requires complete spell focus in order to be good, you know

anyways sizzling heph is a nice combination

 

well uh try soloing a war with that... hpr isnt useful at all, and the damage is barely good with that mr. you can get like 14k health with 11.5k bombs while having 9 mr

what made you think i made this to solo guild wars?
i didn't really mention that at all, it's just a general regen tank for archer

Archers are paper tanks when given big HP pools. Your focus on damage is literally the only redeeming aspect of the build, and that still falls short for a mythic build. Ignis is supposed to be used in conjunction with another item like conflagrate or fire sanc in order to abuse the massive hp boost for extra damage by cancelling out the -hp of the opposing glass cannon items; not literally just amplify the archer's weaknesses (resistance to attacks in general).

 

idk, i've tested archer regen tanks in li and they've worked fine
i wouldn't post builds like this if i knew that they wouldn't work

 

In my experience with using plague after the attack tier changes with a decent steal build, I still couldn't get enough regeneration with heph and plague's life steal to hold my own. I might be shit, but I've solo'd LI and know that HPR never was able to heal me enough after a single basic attack from a boss. It's that simple IMO.

 

i don't really know, from my own experience i can regen damage i take just fine
i certainly wouldn't say that you're bad (as you have indeed soloed li), but i've done a few archer solos with a no agi cluster glass cannon, so it might be possible that i should take a bit of a lower perspective instead of basing everything off of my own view

 

same could go for me. I always hear about people waltzing into LI with extreme glass cannon builds and ripping the boss as fast as they can, so It might be a good tactic for other builds, but archer tanks don't have the insane damage that glass cannons with easily over 10 avg bombs and tons of mr/ms have. I think Ignis is better for making a more survivability oriented high damage build that uses life steal and mana steal, with a sprinkle of HPR from Ignis and heph or another item (Soulflare's +20%?).
