Given rainbow weapons generally bare weak individual damage per each element, but together then become comparable to other items, this makes sense that having 6 weapons for each element is better than having 3 rainbow weapons. Though i think it is still good you went out of your way to confirm this, now i think going through each class’s best bet options for that 6 element coverage.

For archer i would say: Ensa’s Resolve (Water & Air), Torrential Tide (Water), Packet (Air), Hellstrand (Fire, thunder if powdered to make use of the +thunder), and Cluster/Hive (Neutral/whatever element so desired). I don’t remember some of these weapon’s stat requirements and run a rainbow-water primary-spell build, so these options are what I can use with my build best over a more LI-based build.

Surprised no one got that. I kinda skipped the other comments to post mine and then read them before this comment.

The question being, where is a rainbow build best applied? Imo it’s grinding, so you don’t have to change your build to make the most of the you grind against mobs in any of the areas of grinding (FH, DCave, Colorful Dragon Island, etc.)

Grinding might be true, but some weapons are confusing me.

- Any rainbow mythic weapons (Not sure but maybe they could be usable on boss fights..?)

- Level 100 rainbow weapons (Awakening, Fog of Creation..)
Level 101 grinding

 

On my archer i run FoC and it does it’s job for travel and in the event i’m jumped by a ton of mobs and whathaveyou, i haven’t tried a solo on LI, nor do i think i’ll get far with the rainbow spell-spam build i have, with or without the range of elements i should have if these videos are anything to go off of. For the build I’m working toward i still need all diamons hydro LI accessories and a Spring which i’m at the lowest the bow can be sold for in total straight LE.

Side tangent aside, which part is confusing? Do you mean that those weapons might be the exception to the rule of rainbow not being as good as 6 per each element for LI?

 

It might be shame to say it, but.. sort of?

 

I can always try my current build with how far i get use FoC, tho it’s not the best. You also can try to find people to have Rainbow mythics and ask them if they can run LI as per the same rules you go off of.

And it’s not much of a shame to have questions arise with different variables to something your testing, hell it’s perfectly reasonable to think of other variables that can impact the results.
