Mage/Dark Wizard Help Make A Melee Mage Less Of A Glass Cannon.

So I was messing around with Gaia and I found this build. Any ideas on how I can make it more tanky without losing too much dps?

This one is a bit worse but the crippling fire weakness is gone *TW: Vaward* *TW: skp tight* also don't ask me to change the powdering it adds 57 dps

I'd say do what this guy does, but with a gambler instead of a byte.

It almost completely rids you of the god-awful elemental weaknesses and gives you a bit of hp.
idk the market price of good gamblers but I have ot guess they're expensive, than again. Seeing how you're building with a gaia, that shouldn't be too big an issue.

I've also added powders to the armor in that link. Just two earth powders where available and a fire powder if there's a place left. The damage from rage isn't calculated in the damage shown, but this gives you +3% earth damage per percentage of your hp missing.

 

getting a gambler with -100% or below in percent def is 0.113047215% so its not really that easy to get
i recommend using items with more % defense to help get a gambler that will be possible to get(megabyte, byte etc)
