Player Stole My Steamjet Walkers

I just accidentally dropped my Steamjet Walkers. Someone took them and is telling me to pay him 6 LE for it, he also said I'm a kid for not paying. His name is WizardWarlordYT, is there any way I can get them back?

report the player and make sure you have proof. But correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there a 20 seconds pick up delay to pick up dropped items?

I didn't notice for a long time and he held them in his hands like a throphy. He's also trying to sell it now not that that will get him anywhere.

Item stealing is the most retarded thing, someone should either ban him or get the item back :(

 

I recommend reporting him, this isn't a good thing, however, I don't think you can get them back.

However, YOUR replies, like "have fun with the ban you asshole" are definitely not the right way to react. Same with "You little piece of shit".

 

As unethical as it is, he didn't do anything ban worthy. You threw out an item, didn't pick it up and now it's his. If anything, it's your fault for not being careful enough.

 

I once dropped an item in Detlas and got it back for free after messaging a mod to come help, it was my godly Tailwind and he was asking for a stack of LE to give it back. Try messaging a mod about this, it doesn't seem like there's a consistent way to handle situations like these.

Despite what I would consider as adequate support, the thread ultimately crumbled and no decision was achieved. The main point that Pretzule brought up was the possible abuse of fear associated with ban threats in item stealing. Though I don't agree with the idea that it's only a "few bad apples in the community," I do recognize Pretzule's point about the rule's controversy.

Unfortunately the best you can do is to /report and hope a moderator is available in the current situation. There's a much cleaner solution in the form of item locks, but I doubt it'll come out.
